About Marshall | Finding Marshall
https://findingmarshall.com/about
Exploring Myself and the World. Early 40’s. Widowed. Two phrases that really shouldn’t go together, yet they describe me. This site documents my journey as I deal with this new reality that I find myself in. I lost my wife of 15 years to cancer. While I know those words to be true, writing them seems so surreal, but it is my new reality. One that I would have never imagined not too long ago. So here I find myself alone. Why the hell not? Home, Sweet Home. Follow Marshall via Email.
Salt Lake City | Finding Marshall
https://findingmarshall.com/blog/salt-lake-city
Exploring Myself and the World. July 26, 2015. September 7, 2015. During the week in which I flew to San Diego. To be with Kathy, I had to find a place to stash my house. I choose to leave it in Salt Lake City as Kathy would be flying back with me after San Diego and we needed to be in the Grand Tetons one week after we departed sunny Southern California. SLC was the logical choice, as it is pretty much the closest big city to where we needed to be. Pony Express RV Resort. Where I parked my house. Kathy ...

Exploring Myself and the World. Upper Teton View – Moose, Wyoming. August 5, 2015. September 7, 2015. There is a mythical place to stay when visiting the Tetons. A place with views so grand that they had to be seen to be believed. A place that all the cool kids talk about. And the best part? It is free to stay there. Oh, yes, could this be the holy grail of camping spots? It was a tough mission to find out, but we decided take on the task. The Upper Teton View. The best area of Upper Teton View. Upper Te...

Exploring Myself and the World. Alpine Campground – Alpine, Wyoming. July 29, 2015. September 7, 2015. Looking for a quick stop over for the night on the way to the Grand Tetons (couldn’t make the drive in one day as I had to work), we chose to stay at Alpine Campground. Just outside of Alpine, Wyoming, this is a small National Forest campground that offers dry camping (no utilities, though water is on site). Alpine Campground, Alpine, WY 83128, USA. Long-term travel doesn’t require a massive bundle of cash; it requires only that we walk through the world in a more deliberate way. Vacations are usually where we catch it. We leave our home for a few days a few weeks if we’re lucky to visit somewhere new. We try to leave our job and school work behind us and take in the experience. At some point, we accept our discomfort, embrace the new and unusual, and if we catch the travel bug really. What if I could make travel a lifestyle rather than an event?
About – 33andfree
https://33andfree.live/about
Our plan didn’t come in to place for many years. We had debts, and career goals that we still wanted to accomplish. We dabbled with starting a family, and when it didn’t go as planned we started to focus on the next chapter seriously. Do we take a year off to travel? Where do we go? What do we do with our pets? What about our careers? What sort of life do we want when we settle down again? We discussed many options until one made sense. We appreciate any shares:. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Or donate to ...

Bangkok, Thailand (Day 2&3). December 23, 2016. January 16, 2017. November 13-14, 2016. We started the day with going to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Getting there: We took the hotel ferry shuttle to Sathorn Ferry Terminal and then hopped on the BTS and then got off on Mochit Station MR. It was then a short walk to the market. Kevin was impressed with the beer selection, it wasn’t your normal run of the mill and the food was excellent! It’s a good thing that we weren’t here for along time, I wou...Today was...

December 27, 2016. November 15-18, 2016. We were lucky that our hotel had a semi private pool for each room. Ours ended up being private since there was no one next to us! This was a luxury to us. We don’t spend or we can’t afford 5 star hotels in the US. So I was grateful for this one. The flowers that fell into the pool were too cute. It was really paradise. We got picked up bright and early and headed to the pier that our speed boat was at. It was a group of about 18 people so a fun size. This is wher...

Nature is not always beautiful, but you must agree it is interesting, Mat took this photo of a snake eating a toad. I was busy running down the path.
