October 17, 2013. When I walk into the labor room I see Mom in bed with lots of family and friends milling about. There is talking and texting and laughing going on. There is the TV. Since I have recently been reading about Energy on the Net, my mind wanders to E=mc2. I start cataloging the room for potential and kinetic energy. I scan for radiant energy and then I close my eyes and scan for lumin ous energy. There is a lot here, but it’s hard to grab hold of with all the commotion. What is my role here?
