I have been taking an online art class with She Art and Iam loving it. This is my second weeks assignment that I did. The skirt on the girl is crinkle paper and adds a great texture to her. After a long day traveling to las vegas, btw what were we thinking, I watched a beautiful sunset from my hotel room on the strip. we were across from treasure island. So cool, a distance shot from my Palazzo room view on the strip. this hotel is very far away. so many lights. We wanted to see some of the US and thought the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam would be a great start over a cruise to Caribbean. what were we thinking!

My Nana is an angel and has always been there for me, so I wanted to make her something to remind her how much I love and think of her. I wanted it to be bright and fun, but it had to be small as she's in a retirement home. The front as seen here was 9 x 4 rowed granny squares and the back was a single 13 row granny square. Using 8ply yarn and a 5.0mm hook, this made a perfect 14" cushion cover. Pattern for the flower motifs:.
