A Gurley Gurl: November 2014

http://agurleygurl.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2014. We had such a great Thanksgiving! This time of year is for sure my favorite. I get giddy {giddier} and cheesy {cheesier}. Brent would probably muzzle me if that were considered acceptable behavior. Tuesday was my sister's birthday and Trent's Thanksgiving feast at school, so I took a half day from work. I brought my sister Starbucks and worked from her house for a few hours. Her kids were so confused why I was there without my kids! Happy birthday to the best sister ever! We sp...

A Gurley Gurl: March 2015

http://agurleygurl.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Drew has been such a trip lately. In the last month or so, her vocabulary has EXPLODED, and she is talking {and singing} non-stop. She is basically a HOOT, and I want to bottle her up and keep her like this forever. She says 'no way' instead of just 'no'. I'm trying to teach her 'no way, Jose'. She is obsessed with babies. She wants to look at them, touch them, SQUEALS over them. It is precious! She selected to wear these 2 items. #mess. The older she gets, the more independent s...

A Gurley Gurl: May 2015

http://agurleygurl.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Friday was the last day of school for the kids. Yay! I'm looking forward to a low-key summer without having to rush in the mornings to get out the door and to school on time! Our last week consisted of a field day and a pizza party for Trent and a picnic for Drew - all during work hours for me - so it was a long week. {grin}. Both kids have more hair than the start of school and more teeth and have learned so much this year! First day of school - 8/25/2014. Thursday, May 28, 2015.

Thursday, April 30, 2015. I've been a reading machine lately. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Review Extravaganza: October, November, and December. One more quarter and one more day and 2014 is complete! Doing these posts has reminded me of some great moments this year. I compared and contrasted Trent and Drew. It's been so fun watching her personality emerge and comparing our kids. I got a new job. Two months in and I am still SO happy - I like it even more than I thought I would! Brent and I celebrated TEN. Years of wedded bliss. I shared some thoughts on marriage.

Finding the Lighthouse

This blog will be a combination of poetry, art, and writing. Thursday, 27 June 2013. MEMOIRS OF A CHURCH GIRL. I remember Sunday mornings. Grandma coming up the stairs singing church songs. Of how much she loves Jesus Christ. I never understood why she had to get up so early. Make so much noise in the house,. Doing things she could have done when she got back from church. Then had to rush home, cook the chicken already seasoned from the night before. Getting shouted at to watch the pot while it simmer,.
