http://sakpasealisha.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
S'ak Pase, Alisha! Mail and Wish Lists. Sunday, July 6, 2014. I finished my first year as a missionary! The end of the school year was busy with things like packing, figuring out what I need to bring back, closing things up at school, parties, and saying goodbye to friends. It was a whirlwind of tasks and emotions, and that whirlwind continued when I got home! I jumped right into working at camp the very next day! Ministry doesn't stop right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). S'ak Pase, Alisha! Mail and Wish Lists. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. After a week of teacher orientation, classroom decorating, and lesson planning, the first day of school went smoothly today! There are so many days of preparation that I was ready for the kiddo to arrive! I still felt a little nervous this morning before school, but much more relaxed and ready to face the day than this time last year! Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks:. We did a prayer walk through the school! Recess time...

One of our questions last week was, If you could ask God one question, what would you ask? Here are a few of my students answers (many gave me a chuckle! If I could ask God one question, I would ask. For him to be my friend. Can I come to heaven? If God pick me I be happy. How old are you? To be a police officer. Give me a good week. To make me pass.

S'ak Pase, Alisha!?: Mezanmi! A Crazy Couple Days
http://sakpasealisha.blogspot.com/2014/01/mezanmi-crazy-couple-days.html
S'ak Pase, Alisha! Mail and Wish Lists. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. A Crazy Couple Days. I've been saying "mezanmi" a lot lately. It's the equivalent of the English "oh my gosh." It has been a whirlwind few days here in Port-de-Paix! In the wee hours of the morning a tsunami was approaching -or at least that's what everyone thought. Yes, I said tsunami. Do you think those "run to high elevation in case of a tsunami" signs that got put up all over town last summer may have gotten to people? I've been sick&...

S'ak Pase, Alisha! Mail and Wish Lists. Monday, September 15, 2014. Living in Haiti as an American is hard. It's complicated. It's uncomfortable. You are constantly bombarded with situations that throw your mind into a frenzy and remind you that you are different. Uncle Sam, who? Roller skates, what are those? Doors that open automatically, crazy! Stairs that move by themselves, why do you need those? In response. Why? It's not just with teaching either, of course. Every Sunday night all of the Sonli...
