Thursday, May 27, 2010. Fresh this Week from Summer Creek Farm. Notes from the Farm. Busy time at the farm, planting, weeding, picking. I spent the last two evenings in a field cultivating. The cool evening, with the air full of honeysuckle sweetness. Wonderful time to get work done after a hot day in the field picking berries. Lots more to plant to keep crops coming all season long. Scapes store well for a couple weeks. 189; cup almonds or pine nuts. 189; cup olive oil. 189; cup grated parmesan. Links t...

Sunday, March 28, 2010. It's time to start your gardens, if you haven't already. I'm a little late getting started, but what's new? I need to prep the garden beds so that I can direct sow peas, beans, radishes, and carrots. My little sister Precious and I started a bunch of seeds yesterday at a friend's greenhouse. It beats the pants off of my little window box, which is on a part of the house that gets mediocre light. Red pear cherry tomatoes. Sweet long Italian peppers. Chesapeake Bay Fish Peppers (hot).

Grown In Frederick: Local Chef for Hire
http://growninfrederick.blogspot.com/2011/03/local-chef-for-hire.html
Friday, March 18, 2011. Local Chef for Hire. I gave birth to twins three months ago. So exciting! And as predicted, my boyfriend and I had no time to do any of the things we used to do. Which, for the most part is no big sacrifice. However, we always ate really well before, and one night I found myself grumpily eating a can of beans and thinking something had to change. Labels: Chef Jeremy Ward. Hey - welcome back and big congratulations! March 22, 2011 at 8:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, June 18, 2010. Fresh this Week from Rohrer's Meats. Greetings from the farm. Things are so busy here on the farm I need two of me to keep up. I have thought about asking the local veterinarians about getting myself cloned, but decided that might not be a good idea because most of you would say one of me is more than enough already. Eat fresh, be well, and I will see you at the market,. Links to this post. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Fresh this Week from Summer Creek Farm. Notes from the Farm. Sea sa...

And made both panzanella. Right now, I am obsessed with tomatoes and honeycrisp apples and watermelon. Corn is coming to an end, bu...
