Like the title implies, my approach to reading is similar to how I (usually) cook: take a whole bunch of different things, let sit for awhile, enjoy! Well sort of.). I couldn't possibly wait any longer for "Mockingjay". Starting to think it's probably a bit old for my grade 6/7 class. But I enjoy it and that's enough justification for me :). Lost in the Barrens" sounds like it will pair really nicely with the grade 6 First Nations unit. Eew. Genres: lost in the barrens. The selected works of ts spivet.

Tuesday, 22 June 2010. Gone for 3 weeks and all of this happened! It has been hectic. My birthday was the day after the previous blog post and inbetween the various celebrations (took me 3 weeks), the Soccer World Cup 2010, work and writing I did not have time to blog. But I am back. A quick update on the writing: It's going really well. I'm making progress in leaps and bounds. I finished a chapter today and will be putting the finishing touches on another chapter tonight. Just shy of 800 pages this horr...
