Friday, August 15, 2014. Day 66: Rock Inlet to Goose Bay. First stop today is Dawsons Landing in Rivers Inlet. Rob and Nola are the owners, and take good care of the place. They have lots of moorage, a fuel dock, and a very well stocked store. Dozens of dolphins in Fitz Hugh Sound. Then I headed for Goose Bay, home to Duncanby Landing and Goose Bay Cannery. Duncanby is a high end place…shore power (30 amp) is $45 per night, moorage is $1.75 per foot, and laundry is $20. Goose Bay Cannery's Lido Deck.

Monday, February 10, 2014. New Boat, New Home. I bought the boat! The transaction closed on October 30th and I moved aboard on October 31st. Until mid-January, the boat was in Skyline Marina in Anacortes. While there, I spent as much time as I could cruising in the San Juans. Just before the boat show I brought the boat to Seattle. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Go Well, almost. My departure is set for tomorrow morning. The boat is loaded with food, safety gear, spare parts, clothing, and everything else that one needs for four months of living. Gas and water tanks are full and the boat is floating in the water (albeit a bit low on her lines) ready for an early morning departure. Just about every compartment is full. 6/15-Sam M. departs Ketchikan. 6/20-Ben (my older brother) arrives in Petersburg. 6/29-7/5-Glacier Bay National Park permit.
