The Woolcat: Victorian Lace in May
http://woolcat.blogspot.com/2008/05/victorian-lace-in-may.html
Anyone who can hold a pointy stick in each hand needs a knitting blog these days. Thursday, May 15, 2008. Victorian Lace in May. This is the Scarf with the Wide and Handsome border for a Mantel, from Victorian Lace Today, knit in Millefili Fine (sport weight variegated cotton), and taking just over 3 balls. It's for MIL and she loves it - I saw this colourway and thought of her right away. In other news: I am starstruck! I left a comment on WendyKnits' blog. Other blogs I read are the Yarn Harlot. Beauti...

Homestead Lutheran Academy: October 2009
http://homesteadla.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 30, 2009. Links to this post. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Both kids are studying chemistry this year. The Engineer is working with book I of Adventures With Atoms and Molecules. The books (there are two in the set) are full of simple experiments. They do not take too long to read, prepare a write up, conduct or discuss. I'm so pleased with the way they fit the capabilities of a third grader. I loved doing that experiment! Chem C1000 kit. Several of her experiments. That require taking so...

Homestead Lutheran Academy: September 2009
http://homesteadla.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The kids' first ever fishing trip was a big success and a bust all in one. It was wonderful to get away from a hectic month. The weather was beautiful. The lodge at Geneva on the Lake was clean, welcoming, packed with nice amenities for children yet, except for ours, child-free. The town was pretty much closed down for the winter season. The lake was picturesque. It was fun to show the kids the plants that host monarch butterflies, and get some nice butterfly photos too.

Homestead Lutheran Academy: New Sheers
http://homesteadla.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-sheers.html
Wednesday, December 30, 2009. They are far from perfect, but hopefully I'm the only one who will see the imperfections. The Artist is pleased, and I expect Rick will be too. And I only had to rip out a hem twice. (Go ahead and laugh! I'm happy the job is done, but still wishing I could have done better. I am consoling myself with the fact that the material was not wasted, and next time I will not be working completely pattern free, I can use these as a pattern. Olive Tree Guitar Ensemble. Vacuuming in Hi...

Homestead Lutheran Academy: Dishwasher
http://homesteadla.blogspot.com/2010/08/dishwasher.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Yesterday I received notice in the mail that my dishwasher had been recalled. Bummer! I was instructed to call a technician for a free repair, and not to use the dishwasher in the mean time, due to fire hazard. Well, there is no time like the present for the kids to learn how to do this job by hand. They have lived their entire lives in a home where machine washing was the way to acomplish this housekeeping task. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'll see you at Ravelry!

M & E Company: January 2007
http://misato-edyta.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
M and E Company. Sunday, January 21, 2007. This is my wall pocket inspired by ones I saw on Shim and Sons. Blog As you see it's already in use. It's hanging by my desk and it's great for organizing paper which used to just pile up on my desk. I love it! The only thing I did not do is to put interfacing on the patchwork pocket piece, which would have made it more sturdy. Posted by MisatoEdyta at 1:37 PM. Tuesday, January 16, 2007. New scarf for my trip. I started this Rainbow Scarf from Last Minute Gifts.

M & E Company: October 2007
http://misato-edyta.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
M and E Company. Monday, October 22, 2007. Last week's class we sat and drew our designs to determine what kind and how much silver we needed for yesterday's class. Yesterday, we began working on our spoon handles using sterling silver. I began with a 6" long piece of round wire at 5.18mm in diameter. You can see that I'm drawing out the tip at one end and narrowing the girth. It's about 1 1/2 inches longer now. Posted by MisatoEdyta at 6:02 PM. Wednesday, October 10, 2007. More TOOLS and some wax. This ...

M & E Company: August 2007
http://misato-edyta.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
M and E Company. Tuesday, August 07, 2007. I've been burning, itching for a new bag and I've been 'eyeing' Edyta's red bag with the horizontal patchwork. I thought I'd make one of those, because it's simple in design and I don't have one yet :) I made mine bigger - I love big bags. I made this Sunday. Not to worry, the poor image quality of the photos are only temporary. These were taken with my cell phone. I will update these later with better quality versions. Posted by MisatoEdyta at 12:11 PM.
