There lie the woods of Lothlórien! 일요일 브런치로 더치 베이비를 구워보았다. 더치 베이비는 이름과는 달리 네덜란드가 아닌 독일식 팬케이크(pfannkuchen). 에서 유래한 오븐에서 굽는 방식의 팬케이크다. 달걀 2개 (실온 준비). 우유 1/2컵 (실온 준비). 원래는 위에 생레몬즙을 올려 먹어야 맛있는데 레몬이 떨어진 관계로 부랴부랴 사과 조림을 만들었다. 1 오븐 안에 무쇠팬(캐스트아이언)을 넣고 화씨 475도(섭씨 245도)로 예열. 2 밀가루/육두구/소금을 함께 체침. 3 달걀 - 우유 - 밀가루 순으로 조금씩 넣으면서 섞은 후 10분 이상 휴지. 4 오븐 예열이 완료되면 무쇠팬을 꺼낸 다음에 오븐 온도를 화씨 425도(섭씨 220도)로 낮춤. 5 팬 안에 버터를 듬뿍 올려 녹인 다음에 그 위로 반죽을 부음. 6 그 상태 그대로 오븐에 넣어 12분 정도 구움. 꺼내서 접시에 담고 파우더슈거 뿌린 다음 원하는 재료를 올려 먹으면 된다.
