http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 5 June 2011. Oh, I went crazy with flowers, and colours (my favourite ones) and glitter. Friday, 3 June 2011. I am so delighted with this little doll pattern! It is the Chibi Girl, by Fiona McDonald. The pattern is free and can be found here. I made up the clothes as I was going. She is wearing a blue dress with a white pinafore and (of course! A red riding hood. My daughter thought that her real name was Emma, so here is Emma:. I will never do as my mummy tells me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Silvia Makes: August 2008
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 28 August 2008. The quality of being complete; unbroken condition; entirety. A wild patience has taken me this far. As if I had to bring to shore. A boat with a spasmodic outboard motor. Old sweaters, nets, spray-mottled books. Tossed in the prow. Some kind of sun burning my shoulder-blades. Splashing the oarlocks. Burning through. Your fore-arms can get scalded, licked with pain. In a sun blotted like unspoken anger. Behind a casual mist. The length of daylight. This far north, in this. I know...

Silvia Makes: 'Belle'
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2010/08/and-here-is-doll-i-crocheted-it-for-my.html
Thursday, 12 August 2010. And here is the doll! I crocheted it for my daughter. I am very proud of it, as I didn't follow any pattern :). Head and body are crocheted in one piece, while arms and legs were crocheted serparately. I used Patons Fab DK. For the eyes and mouth I used also Patons Fab, for the nose embroidery thread, and the cheeks are two felt circles. So here you have princess Belle, wearing her everyday jumper. And in her party dress. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Some blogs I follow.

Silvia Makes: Oh, when will he be here???
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2011/03/oh-when-will-he-be-here.html
Tuesday, 22 March 2011. Oh, when will he be here? Such a long time since my last post! I quickly want to post pics of my most recent finished project (almost finished, I wanted to knit some flowers on the skirt). I made a Ranpunzel, ordered by my daughter. The doll pattern was taken from the delightful 'Babes in the Wool' by Fiona McDonald. The dress she is wearing was adapted from the one appearing in 'Dream Toys' by Claire Garland. Silvia Makes: September 2010
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, 4 September 2010. Today I am starting the blue blanket. It will be for Lucas, and the choice or colours is inspired by the Turkish Mediterranean Sea. A wave to take home. I will be knitting 15cm squares in garter stitch to make it reversible. To start, I am liminting myself to plain squares, but I might add stripes and texture if needed. Friday, 3 September 2010. Granny stripes in Turkey. I bought the yarn as suggested by Lucy in her pattern. The yarn is Stylecraft's Special DK. I will stock up...

Silvia Makes: ...a move to the countryside
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2011/11/move-to-countryside.html
Tuesday, 8 November 2011. A move to the countryside. Yes We had enough of that. So we have moved here (the white house). Strangely, it felt just like going back home. So it was, indeed, quite straight forward. The house is still full of boxes, and I am writing from the old laptop (that keeps going off without warning), but we are all very well settled. I can finally breath again :) I hope to be updating the blog soon with some crafty things. For the moment, I am off to unpack yet another box.

Silvia Makes: Granny stripes in Turkey
http://silviamakes.blogspot.com/2010/09/granny-stripes-in-turkey.html
Friday, 3 September 2010. Granny stripes in Turkey. We have just arrived from Turkey. The first thing I packed for the holidays was the granny stripes blanket. I bought the yarn as suggested by Lucy in her pattern. The yarn is Stylecraft's Special DK. It is 100% acrylic. The shades are beautiful and the yarn is soft to the touch, a pleasure to crochet. Which doesn't feel very soft either. The look of this yarn is a little 'messy'. While Stylecraft's seem to have all the fibers in order, this one ...I put...
