Platform Project: reply to Emma
http://platformproject.blogspot.com/2008/11/reply-to-emma.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Completely agree - if there is an agenda circulating around the 'reception' of relational/ephemeral/social practices it certainly ties in with their supposed legacy - or, in other words, the manner in which they are documented, archived, mediated and continue to influence after the exhibition. I think this is also an area we've all had experience in. There's a lot of scope. Actually, here's a thought for a title. After the Exhibition.'. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Platform Project: possibilities possibilities
http://platformproject.blogspot.com/2008/11/possibilities-possibilities.html
Monday, November 3, 2008. Having read Francis' email, I thought it might be a no harm to have a bank of ideas for the publication and directions it might take to bring to the table on Thursday. Francis pinpointed 4 ambitions: to establish continuity, to attract established names, to establish a possible research position and to keep the opening of the NCAD gallery in February in mind. In addressing these, I thought we could throw out a few more idea. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Platform Project: Suggestions from Emma
http://platformproject.blogspot.com/2008/11/just-following-on-claires-ideas-on-how.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Just following on Claire's ideas on how this publication might present itself, an idea might also be to consider how the encounter, the public and the art practice, have advanced since the theorisation of relational aesthetics. Through a publication the encounter is as Claire indicated extended into further terms. Personal reflections on an encounter offer a chance to include some creative writing and subjective descriptions. Http:/ store.mcsweeneys.net/index.cfm.

Platform Project: October 2008
http://platformproject.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 16, 2008. Just to get the ball rolling again. I just wanted to add Lars Laumann's contribution to the last Berlin Biennial to our thread on desire/ pain. For those who didn't get to see it the woman in the picture is a Swiss lady who is in love with the Berlin Wall ( true no lies). The film is a documentary on the relationship she has built to the wall. I've included a link to an interview with Laumann and some info on the Soft City show in the Shinkel Pavillion. Links to this post.
