Larsen Adventure Chronicles: July 2013
http://larsenadventurechronicles.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Adventure to North Dakota.not a great trip. I posted on Facebook that I was busy playing Angry Birds or something and made her carry all the luggage. It was a good gag. I actually carried the 2 back packs and my suit case. Poor cute girl friend. Her foot had been bothering her lately and the fact that her good shoe had just broke and she had new ones on didn't make this walk much fun.plus I walk too fast! This is a picture of the Gorge I took a few months ago. You will notic...

Larsen Adventure Chronicles: August 2013
http://larsenadventurechronicles.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 30, 2013. Anacortes Washington.another romance of boats. I was acclimating to the heights by looking out at the view when I noticed 3 cruise ships coming into view. I had to steady myself to get this shot. You can just barely make out the 3rd one on the right, it was coming nose on to the camera so could barely make it out. As you can see the port is a nice sheltered harbor, and that tower out on the end of that point in a US Coast Guard Airbase. This mural is awesome, I love how the kids ...

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Is there a Ghost in my house? Have you ever seen anything you just can't explain. Heard something you can't explain either. I have! I'm not one to believe in ghost, as a matter of fact I can usually think of ways that those ding dongs on those ghost hunting shows could be misinterpreting their findings. It is funny I just mentioned this little incident to the cute girlfriend tonight.lol. The economy was crap back then and I had to let the cabin go back to the bank and we move...

Larsen Adventure Chronicles: Antique adventures, Chautauqua Industrial Art Desk
http://larsenadventurechronicles.blogspot.com/2015/01/antique-adventures-chautauqua.html
Thursday, January 15, 2015. Antique adventures, Chautauqua Industrial Art Desk. Thank goodness there is no 12 step program for Antiqueism. Unlike Alcoholism this one is not bad for your health. There might be an unhealthy hole in your wallet caused by Antiqueism, but if you need money just sell the Antique. This is not brain surgery. Cute girlfriend and I would love to have an old Craftsman home in the future and it is good to know that old stuff can still be had. And man did this have an interesting his...

Saturday, January 17, 2015. Flavel House, Astoria OR.something weird in this picture! We let the girls roam around the fort for a while and they took some very cool picture. (see the article here. There is an EMF screen, Elector Magnetic Field detector, it looks like a tachometer off an old semi. This screen actually reacts to magnetic fields. I suspect it can read the signal change across the phones antenna. If you hold it up to a wall outlet it would make the meter get higher readings. I blogged about ...

Larsen Adventure Chronicles: September 2013
http://larsenadventurechronicles.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 1, 2013. Tagus Triangle. The Mystery and some fiction. After I started up in North Dakota, I started driving one of the vans into work for some extra money and some less sleep. As I have said before it was an 80 mile drive from Minot out to the oil fields. We would leave the yard at 5am and not get back until 7 or 8 pm sometimes. I would drive a van full of sleeping oil construction workers. That is the sign post up ahead we are entering the Tagus Zone. I looked up Taugus. Urban Legend h...

Larsen Adventure Chronicles: February 2011
http://larsenadventurechronicles.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 27, 2011. I have passed these ruins for years and always thought what a cool house this must have once been. I found out recently that this was really once a Hotel. I found a website not long ago called Ghosttown.com. What I was really surprised to find out that this was actually part of an real and true socialist commune. Back in 1913 a very nice socialist named Job Harriman. They called it Llano Del Rio. And that new town, struggled until around 1930. The ruins are as fascinating a...

Saturday, April 26, 2014. The House that Bigfoot built. Like I said in my last post I had taken cute grand daughter up to Mt St Helens recently. When we hit the road for this adventure she asked where we were going. "To see a Volcano! Was my reply. That was very cool with her. I promised her that on this trip we would find Bigfoot. This got her telling me all she knew about Bigfoot. That night I asked the cute girlfriend if she wanted to go on a small adventure, and that it required a little bit of hikin...

Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Ghost in the house and some Christmas cheer! I haven't posted anything in a while so since I have some time I'm going to slip a little one in here. We Haven't really been on many adventures lately, I have been working nights and weekends so I really have no life and the cute girlfriend and I are like two ships passing in the night most of the time. Kind of sad but we try to make it up on our time off, doesn't always work but we get some time together. Here is the fierce beast ...
