Thursday, July 15, 2010. I've seen several blogs and websites with instructions about dying noodles. I decided to make some for the kindergarten and 1st grade classes at VBS, and they loved them! I divided up the noodles in plastic veggie trays, so the kids could reach them. Hemp string (it's stiff and strong which makes threading much easier). Rubbing Alcohol (this sets the color so they don't bleed and noodles keep their shape and firmness). Repeat process for as many colors as you like. Skip to my lou.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012. More "Stained Glass" Crafts: Shamrock and Cross. Well, I'm sensing a theme. With the "stained glass" craft. It's March, so of course I had to do a shamrock. Craft for St. Patrick's Day. I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter for this one. Make it like you would a heart. And this is also a good opportunity to introduce symmetry. As a design principle . Monkey's preschool teacher also used this idea for his class! A friend of mine gave me the idea for an Easter craft with a cross.

Monday, January 6, 2014. Favorite Things from Christmas: Reindeer Candy Cane. So, one of my New Year's resolutions is to dust off this blog and post more. I thought I'd start with some of the Christmas crafts I made this past year. Here is a simple one I made for the little ones in my Sunday school class.
