Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Another Cinelli Giro D'Italia bar. Can't have enough of these. This one will go on Cunningham Racer #6C - a current work in progress. Where do you get the handlebars cut and bent? I live in nyc as well and been looking to modify a couple of them. Mountainbike Sniper: October 2009
http://mtbsniper.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Sunday, October 4, 2009. Breezer parts day - Phil Wood and Suntour content. Picked up a couple items that I need for my Breezer Series II build. Outstanding parts are dwindling. Today picked up the No. 4 Phil Wood bottom bracket and a Suntour Cyclone GT rear derailleur. Saturday, October 3, 2009. I am looking for a little less rise on my Moots Vamoots (and wanted to stop with the mountainbike stem).

Mountainbike Sniper: October 2010
http://mtbsniper.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Sunday, October 17, 2010. 1986/87 Yeti FRO (round top tube) ser# QR0309. This is how a Yeti should look (though the Patco oval top tubes are cool too). This bike has an interesting serial number and seems to have been a team frame. In an effort to make piles of bike parts look better, I picked up some old wooden boxes to replace the blue Rubbermaid bin. Sunday, October 3, 2010. Suntour Superbe Pro brakeset.

Mountainbike Sniper: Recent stuff - Fat, Chris King, IRC, Hi-E and Campy content

Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Recent stuff - Fat, Chris King, IRC, Hi-E and Campy content. Winter is coming and so it is time to work on projects, pick up some extra needed parts, and maybe grab a bargain or two. Next, are a weirdo set of IRC X-1 tires. Why weird? Well, they are 24 inch and red. Still cool. And I have some 24 inch wheels that these would be sweet on. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mountainbike Sniper: September 2010
http://mtbsniper.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Monday, September 20, 2010. Pretty neat bike. The frame starts with a Merlin titanium frame that was chopped up to make lugs. The lugs were glued to carbon tubes. The bike is circa 1992. This one has all sorts of early 90s bling nonsense - Grafton Speedtrap (death-trap) pedals, Kooka cranks, White Industries ti hubs and an ugly Halston fork. Friday, September 17, 2010. GT frame with very nice parts. Nice to...

http://mtbsniper.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too. Sunday, December 13, 2009. I've been on a mission to de-carbonify and titaninate my Moots Vamoots. First was a Moots stem. And now a layback post to replace the carbon Campagnolo Record post. Next I am looking into a titanium fork from Black Sheep. Schweet. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
