In developing nations, between five and 15 percent of hospitalized patients are affected by HAIs. Physicians do their best to handle the influx of patients, but when they are seeing 100 patients a day, it is easy to see where corners are cut. The medical equipment used at Our Lady of Grace does not reflect the advancements in modern medicine.
