Hudson Elliott: July 2012
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Dog days of summer. The little wrinkle monster did however love the beach. Finally something that would actually create holes when he digs! Not like that pesky concrete in the city). This was the best Joseph could get him to do. We'll try again when he's older — maybe somewhere without waves. And besides, it's not like we. Ever get in the water. Posted by Mary Hudson. Labels: on the town. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Oh July. sigh. Posted by Mary Hudson.

http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Setting sun of summer. Tomatoes from my garden. Thick and chewy fettuccine, tomatoes, basil, garlic, bocconcini, prosciutto, pepper, butter. Posted by Mary Hudson. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. When a day off is a day off. Some of my lunchtime reading. I closed my eyes for a second while the clouds looked like this, and when I opened them they looked like. Posted by Mary Hudson. Monday, August 20, 2012. I'll miss their fragrance — until next year.

Hudson Elliott: February 2012
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Friday, February 24, 2012. Now that I finally have some of my favourite things on display on my walls and shelves, I thought I would share a few of them with you here. It was the realization the other day that of the few books I was forced to stack sideways (it's like an Easter egg hunt finding all the spots books are hiding in the house), Sideways was one of them, that prompted me to take a couple photos around the house. Hudson Elliott: nectarine & cherry tomato guacamole and black & red bean & pepita tacos
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012/09/nectarine-cherry-tomato-guacamole-and.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Monday, September 03, 2012. Nectarine and cherry tomato guacamole and black and red bean and pepita tacos. Taking advantage of the stone fruits in every way I can while they last. Nectarine paired really nicely in a basic guacamole with colourful cherry tomatoes. Made up little corn tortilla tacos with black and small red beans, a bit of kale, pepitas and spices. If you love cheese like me, throw a little sharp cheddar on there and you're good to go. Hudson Elliott: November 2011
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Lighting the advent wreath. I finally finished my advent wreath today, a little late, but who's going to tell? For those who are unfamiliar, an advent wreath marks the weeks leading up to Christmas. It's a Christian tradition, meaning different things to different denominations, but for me, growing up in the United Church of Canada. Using super fresh and bendy curly willow I created a frame with wire ties. Posted by Mary Hudson. I made a pear and ...

Hudson Elliott: May 2012
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. We ventured out a bit to the different corners and beaches of the area and happily took our time at each one. Truly not a bad few nights — wake up, shower, make tea, walk past the chickens, sit at the water, wake up anew, poach a fresh egg, start your day. Posted by Mary Hudson. Friday, May 18, 2012. Making fresh lemonade out of lemons. What to do when life hands you a crappy mood: buy a bag of lemons and make lemonade. Well gardening is supposed to be...

Hudson Elliott: March 2012
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Monday, March 26, 2012. Glory days (a chapter of the story). After my third alarm went off. This post is in response to one my sister wrote on Ursa Minor. I don't know why I decided I needed to be the next Bruce Lee at such a young age, (I think a friend I admired started doing Taekwondo? I was lucky though because I got to skip the teenage years of looking repulsed at myself in the mirror. I was watching my muscles build and my confidence soar. I didn't worry that I w...These...

Hudson Elliott: April 2012
http://anemonehoney.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Flowers, kittens, and food. Friday, April 27, 2012. Spring seedlings in the garden. A garden update for those who were asking. Little Rouge D'Hiver romaine lettuce babies — heirloom variety. I also have just a simple frilly green looseleaf variety. I'm lucky to sometimes get interesting mustards and other greens from Joseph's aunt, so I kept our supply fairly basic to complement those.). My chives all lush and green and ready to sprout little flowers! How are your gardens growing? Posted by Mary Hudson.
