The Adventures of Amos and Eli: April 2010
http://ericandjessa.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 26, 2010. Picnic with Andrew and Kaite. We had a lovely afternoon with friends, surrogate aunt and uncle, apartment mates, fellow Mars Hill alums and Asheville expats Andrew and Katie. They are Eli's absolute favorite people. Fishing in the fountain! Looks like Grandpa Ken! It is absolutely beautiful on campus and we're so lucky to live here! Amos' post-picnic scavenge was a big success. We love Andrew and Katie and are so glad they're in our boys lives! Labels: amos and eli. Fun in the Sun.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. My little crafty buddies and I are taking our craft show on the virtual road! I have started another blog to chronicle the crafting adventures that happen around here. I have also started selling my creations on etsy.com. I have so much fun making things with and for my sweet boys. It has been so fun to tell the tales of what we get into around here. The new blog is called Happily Home Sewn, and you can find it at HappilyHomeSewn.blogspot.com. Bookmark it and check back often!

First Plymouth Blog: November 2009
http://firstplymouthblog.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. This Advent - The End of the World? Some Thoughts about Advent from the Rev. Andrea LaSonde Anastos. The new liturgical year began November 29, with the First Sunday of Advent.the season of the church year that many worshipers would vote “Least Likely to Be Missed.” There’s a lot of resentment out there about Advent and about the purpose of Advent which, in case you have forgotten, is about attentive waiting. The short answer is probably, Yes. To end this year? Ehrman's basic q...

The Adventures of Amos and Eli: Nothing says Christmas like a Glutony of Photos
http://ericandjessa.blogspot.com/2011/01/nothing-says-christmas-like-glutony-of.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. Nothing says Christmas like a Glutony of Photos. Sorry for the sparse blogging here lately. This ends up being where we do the big "Event in Review" posts like birthdays and Christmas. But if you want to see more of the day to day, you'll find that over at Happily Home Sewn. My crafty blog that gets a lot more attention these days because it's goes hand in hand with my etsy shop. We'll try to do better. I smell a resolution! I hope that one's for me! Eli's face says it all.

First Plymouth Blog: January 2010
http://firstplymouthblog.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 28, 2010. Many of you received an email and/or a letter from the church about a week ago, detailing our ongoing fiscal difficulties, and announcing the 2010 Annual Meeting. As we prepare the Confirmation class for its attendance at the annual meeting, we've been talking about how churches work, what their processes are, etc. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Let Jesus Point the Way? Gun sights with scripture references? Supplying US troops with good Christian help in killing enemies? This co...

First Plymouth Blog: Mission Trip, Day 5
http://firstplymouthblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/mission-trip-day-5.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. Mission Trip, Day 5. Not too many new pictures today- it's getting hard to fit in downloading pictures among all the activities. We do have a couple, though- of a couple of Cameron guys modeling some clothes from a clothing bank, and of one of our groups at Farm Share, a multi-service organization that serves farming families. No matter what, though, we'll post some photos at the end of the trip- and of course, there will be a slideshow. July 11, 2010 at 2:02 AM.

First Plymouth Blog: December 2009
http://firstplymouthblog.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 17, 2009. Christmas Is Not What We Think. Listen to the hymn Mary proclaimed when her world was turned upside down; listen for the Word in the words when she was told, by an angel, she would bear a child out of wedlock:. Μεγαλύνει ἡ ψυχή μου τὸν Κύριον. My soul doth magnify the Lord,. Καὶ ἠγαλλίασεν τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐπὶ τῷ Θεῷ τῷ σωτῆρί μου. And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Did you hear those subversive words in there? Why, they would turn it upside down. Upside down! And the...
