Here is a close up shot of our shutters, window boxes and soffits in their new handsome grey. And here's a shot of the exterior from closer to the road. Note the white garage door, which is also being replaced with a grey one. And here's my photographer's assistant. Love that dog. November 12, 2014 at 1:59 PM. November 25, 2014 at 4:33 AM. Nutmeg & Company Home: Embarking on Another Renovation
http://nutmegandcompany.blogspot.com/2014/02/embarking-on-another-renovation.html
Thursday, February 13, 2014. Embarking on Another Renovation. We've been talking a lot around here about how to make our much smaller house into our permanent home. We go back and forth on the subject so much. If you remember, we made some large scale decisions. Two years ago to right-size our life. We sold our large old home (which I often miss, hard. And bought a smaller ranch. It was the right decision for our family and I don't have any regrets about reducing. most of the time. We would also be able ...

Life In The Dog Lane. Master your life. With a dog. You are here: Home. Snow Nose In Dogs. July 10, 2013. By Life In The Dog Lane. Snow Nose In Dogs. Pretty in pink. Snow nose or winter nose; now known to no longer be just a winter condition, or one that happens just to dogs who live in northern climates, but one that affects northern and southern climate dogs equally and at any point during the year or their lifetime. Case in point, our light-coated Labrador Retriever, Juno. So, What Is It? It is not a ...

Russet Street Reno: December 2014
http://www.russetstreetreno.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 11, 2014. I wanted to share our mostly-finished dining room. This used to be a strange little space complete with off-center boob light and awkward tile near the door to the garage. Well, the tile is still there because we really do need it, but I think the addition of our teal rug really helps the space feel cozy and intentional. And no more boob light! We have also started installing the new white baseboard which we love. The new chandelier is this one. From Sea Gull lighting. In the...

Russet Street Reno: August 2015
http://www.russetstreetreno.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. When we bought this house, the downstairs family room looked like this:. The most offensive parts of the this room were:. The stupid corner shelves on either side of the fireplace that were meant to hold decorative plates, but were useless for anything else. The huge gas fireplace itself and the brassy fireplace front. The awful brown brick accent walls.but at least its real brick fronts and not faux panels. The boob light above the fireplace. On the ceiling rather than the pane...

Roncesvalles Victorian Reno Diary: August 2009
http://roncesrenodiary.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 7, 2009. Where has the time gone? I wish i had a really good excuse for not posting in the last year and 4 months, but the truth is i've just been carried away enjoying my life here in Roncesvalles Village, and busy with work, renovating and life. So where did i leave off, oh yes that's right i had set out the grand master list of renovation projects. So have we managed to get through our list? Will we ever re-coup the costs we've spent on renovating? Stay married through out the process?

9808: One Year Update ~ Front Yard
http://9808bungalow.blogspot.com/2013/10/one-year-update-front-yard.html
October 9, 2013. One Year Update Front Yard. Moving on with our "where things are at after one year" posts, the weather was beautiful this past weekend so it only made sense to spend as much time as we could outside getting things cleaned up and ready for fall. To recap.below is how the front of the property looked about a month before we moved in. The random fence panel still makes me giggle. And this is how the front of the bungalow looks now. Happier and healthier I would say. We are finally getting a...

9808: December 2012

December 31, 2012. Yesterday was a beautiful winter's day. The unexpected sun was a lovely surprise and a perfect opportunity to finally take some photos of the finished window seat at the top of our stairs. There are still are few things I would like to tweak but for now I am happy with the outcome. It's cosy and relaxing and at the moment decorated for the winter season. The black wooden letters are from Walmart. The other pieces will get their few minutes in the spotlight hopefully in time. After this...

9808: September 2013
http://9808bungalow.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
September 30, 2013. One Year Wow, Time Flies! That doesn't mean nothing has been getting done around the bungalow though. We finally have another free standing building on our property, YAY, and we have been spending loads of one on one time fighting the weeds in our garden and generally trying to make the yard look more presentable. I finally feel like we are winning the war with the weeds but the battle definitely isn't over yet. The kitchen definitely makes me happy now and was the first room we tackl...
