Unlike most of the Ismaili fortresses that are hard to reach; this one is on low grounds in the valley and next to the main road. Saranza is about 15km south of town of Firuz Kooh on Semnan road (about 150km east of Tehran) and it is not that far from Firuz Kooh fortress.
