Our fishing trips are competitively priced in the area and you can pay in advance or with cash on the day. Our mackerel fishing trips need a minimum of two people aboard before we set off but give James a call beforehand and there may be other people who want to head out for a few hours. Mackerel fishing trips (max nine passengers). Two hours – 20 per adult, 15 per child. Three hours – 25 per person, 20 per child. Mackerel trips need a minimum of two passengers. Charters (max seven passengers).

After three years at the helm of his 21ft Cygnus, Dolores, James realised that a bigger, more comfortable boat was in order. After months of searching far and wide for the perfect boat, he discovered the Madeline Rose, a 26ft Sea Mark for sale right under his nose in Mylor. It was love at first sight! James runs Fish and Trips of St Mawes with administrative support from his wife, Amanda, and his three year old son, Billy, who sometimes helps scrub the decks at the end of the day as a treat!

Why hire a boat? Book a Motor Boat. Book a Sail Boat. Fish & Trips. We have 3 motor boats and 1 sail boat, all of which can be hired in advance for the half day or full day. Shorter hires may be available on the day – visit us on the quay in St Mawes to check last minute availability. Half day hire costs 70 and is a 4 hour hire from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. Full day cost just 100 and is from 9am-5pm. When there is last minute availability boats can be hired from the quay for just 25 per hour.
