Monitoring marine birds off the coast of Lopez Island. September 4, 2016. Bird Survey Bird Survey. We will meet at Agate Beach at 8:50, then head to Iceberg Point to begin the survey. The survey consists of 5 land-based point counts lasting between 10-20 minutes each. You will walk the entire length of Iceberg Point's grounds twice, so wear decent walking shoes.
