Steve and Lyn Bell. Steve and Lyn moved to Hervey Bay at the beginning of 2008, Steve had previously worked in a well known tackle store in Caboolture, north of Brisbane. Steve started at Fishermans Corner shortly after they made the move to Hervey Bay. At the end of 2015 Steve and Lyn took over the business from previous owners Jim and Kay Sullivan. Fishing Report – Wednesday 10th August 2016. Throughout the Straits there’s heaps of flathead around at the moment particularly around the creek mouths and drains. Flatties will take a wide range of lures, with soft plastics being particularly effective. Just remember when chasing flathead, the bigger specimens are the breeding females so take care of them when handling and if it’s a big dusky the maximum size limit is 75cm.
