Amberjack (Pez Fuerte. Literally "Strong Fish") are hard fighting members of the jack family and first cousins to the popular Yellowtail which are also available this time of year. Live bait and vertical jigs/yoyo iron are top producers when targeting these bad boys. From the beach: Inshore bite Picking up. Making mackerel is key but has been difficult so stock up on light line and small hooks (6lb line, #10 hooks) to better your odds while handlining for bait. From the beach: Huachinango 'n Wahoo!

Until the Next Adventure With The Griz! IGFA Offshore World Championship 2011. June 14, 2011. Last week the traditional 2011 La Paz Clasico. Tournament was held in Puntas Arenas organized by Fishermen s Flee. T The money raised at this tournament are donated to the La Paz s old folks home. Charlie and Mike were worthy judges of this competition. It was an exciting event where no lack of famous cows and huge Mahimahi. Here we share some photos of the event. Leave comments!
