http://mybrokentypewriter.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 25, 2007. Let's see. we saw the Wooster Group's. At The Public Theater last week and it was three hours long. It was a stunning work of skill and madness, but it plateaued about 30 minutes in and therefore we spent another 2 1/2 hours wondering if it was going to go anywhere rlse. It didn't. Like I said, amazing skill was displayed. And then my eyes closed a little bit. Much more exciting was going to the opening night of. At Saint Anne's Warehouse. I encourage you to read the review.

Friday, February 27, 2009. Matt, Maddy and Liz. You may have noticed the thingy on my side bar (over there- ) that links to the Liz Logelin Foundation. It in a brutally honest and poetic way. Thursday, February 19, 2009. The sounds of silence. In my otherwise silent night-time apartment I have grown accustom to and comforted by the following noises:. The intermittent tick of the thermostat. The click of my dogs toenails on the wooden floors. And also her snuffly-snore when she is sleeping). California bo...

My Broken Typewriter: September 2007
http://mybrokentypewriter.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 27, 2007. Paint you funny pictures of your pets. As proven by this lovely work of art by Nicole, which now hangs in our bathroom:. Wednesday, September 26, 2007. You know you are a New Yorker when:. Every week, for the past year, you have done a wedding invitation with the Brooklyn Bridge on it. Of course, that didn't happen so much in Chicago or DC. Chicago didn't really have a set landmark that people over-used, but in DC people used cherry blossoms a lot. You walk into your morning...

Friday, February 27, 2009. Matt, Maddy and Liz. You may have noticed the thingy on my side bar (over there- ) that links to the Liz Logelin Foundation. It in a brutally honest and poetic way. I'm right there with you. Such a heartbreaking story, but at the same time such a testament to how strong people can be when they have no other choice. I don't have many heroes in this world, but Matt is unquestionably one of them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Brooklyn, New York City, United States. Californi...

The hum of the refrigerator. The ebb and flow of the traffic on the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway. The whir of my laptop fan. It's funny how much noise our quiet contains these days, isn't it?

My Broken Typewriter: I really do ♥ NY
http://mybrokentypewriter.blogspot.com/2008/12/i-really-do-ny.html
Thursday, December 18, 2008. I really do ♥ NY. There's also something to be said for the amazing diversity here in the city. Call me crazy, but being surround by all white people who speak only English sounds pretty boring once you've experienced the opposite. I love love LOVE that my daughter is going to grow up in such a multicultural environment - she'll know from the get-go that the world extends far and wide beyond our borders.). My Broken Typewriter: January 2009
http://mybrokentypewriter.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 23, 2009. Welcome, President Obama! Tuesday, January 20 th. Was a fine day. I watched the inauguration. Of President Obama with Lucy, who did not understand the importance of the moment. She will someday. The excitement of the event was infectious. On the walk to work, I overhead an excited conversation between two boys as they jostled down the sidwalk. Together after school, each of them holding paper American flags that they had colored with crayons. Thursday, January 22, 2009. 35 Seen ...

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. A Snippit from an Actor's Life. Audition 605 in my descent into madness where no one can follow. I will tell you who- the other girls in the room. They are all pinching cheap, splinter-laden chopsticks with varying degrees of skill and looking worried. I do not feel bad for them, however, as they are by and large Dutch super-models, and do not need my pity. I will not get this commercial. But if I do, then I hearby renounce my ability to understand anything about anything...
