And circulated throughout the county to fire departments, animal control, and any other organization that might receive calls about nuisance bees. Regardless of where the bees came from, once a colony swarms it is generally up for grabs for whoever wants it. And June 1st marks the first day of the Wednesday farmers market in Fairhaven. Each market offers its own unique blend of farmers, craft booths, food vendors, and even live music and performances. Monday, April 27, 2015. It's wabbit season, and I'm hunting wabbits, so be vewy, vewy quiet! This spring several of our plants got all of their new growth chewed off by rabbits. Considering the havoc they wrecked on our tomatoes last year as well as what they did to our starts, I've decided to take a decidedly non-passive approach. Saturday, October 12, 2013. I have been very busy lately with work and soccer and boat building and playing music and dancing so this is the quick update on all of that. He sits. It's awesome. The varsity team enters tournament play Tuesday night with a win or go home game against a team that beat us 5-2 earlier this year. I don't have much for pictures as we've been relying on Collyn's smart phone, and she forgets to upload them for me. I did get a few today before the battery died. Chalk paint car at the start. We loved wandering through the garden throughout the spring and summer, so the more we can change from lawn to garden the better. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Puget Sound in the summer. We just got back from visiting Collyn's sisters. One is on Vashon, and the other in Bellingham. We also got a chance to have lunch with Shawn, Suzanne, Keith, and Julie. The weather was just about perfect. They, like most of the west, are in a drought, but there was some rain while we were there. Luckily, it came through at night. We hung out at a beach. Went to an overnight farm party, where we got rained on at night but stayed dry in our tent.
