Donut Touch - Rural Ramblings of the Third Kind

Donut Touch - Rural Ramblings of the Third Kind. Feb 17th, 2011 09:22 am. In the meantime, I’m happy with whatever Tim Horton’s serves up. They are an iconic coffee shop chain in this country, less well represented in the States. Their donuts aren’t stellar, just good. I think Boston Cream is my favourite. You’ll note that he’s also a very fine portrait photographer, but donuts are his bread and butter. (Ooops, there go the mixed metaphors again.). 2011-02-17 02:45 pm (UTC). I never really liked cupcakes&...

Two Foodies in Durham, NC! Brunch at Vin Rouge (and a quick comment on Six Plates). Myself, DurmOnion and Joe’s friend Jay. Went to Vin Rouge. For Sunday brunch yesterday. After a brisk cycle from our place in Lakewood. We were very much ready for some good food. We were shown to a table by Mary, who we’d also seen at Six Plates. On Friday night. I quickly got my morning coffee fix, and DurmOnion her OJ and we munched away on some lovely French bread and butter as we looked over the menus. The conversati...

One last one from this day (unless, of course, I post the one - My Last Sigh. 04:50 pm January 17th, 2006. One last one from this day. Unless, of course, I post the one of Robert DeNiro). I love the way Joe Strummer looks in this one. He looks like such a good guy. And he was. When we chatted at the bar he was kind and unpretentious,. Asking me questions about my job and photography. Check out the double exposure on his shirt :). There are a few more of them standing at the corner by Colony Records,.

End of the earth. Southeast Asia, Part 2. Mar 20th, 2008 at 12:05 PM. Vietnam. Part of me thought it might be the progressive thing to do to try to experience the country on it's own merit. War? So I wanted to check out a couple war-related sights. Greeting people getting off the gangway was a group of young Vietnamese girls whose significance I just plain don't know. Sorry girls. Nice dresses, though. I didn't end up not having as much time as I wanted, and a big part of it was the traffic. They had a r...

A View from A Broad: What is in a Nickname?
http://susanjanegilman.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-is-in-nickname.html
A View from A Broad. Tuesday, February 2, 2010. What is in a Nickname? Ah, once again, it seems, I’ve pissed off the Brits. Recently, my husband, the Amazing Bob, and I went to London. From Geneva, it’s an hour-long flight, followed by an eternity stuck in rush-hour traffic. Yet as our voluptuous British taxi jerked and crawled through the streets, we were dazzled. Before us stood Buckingham Palace. 8220;Hey look,” I giggled, “it’s Lizzie and Phil’s place.”. As an American abroad, I’m generally ver...

New is Old and Old is New... - STUDIO MUSINGS
http://mud17.livejournal.com/11394.html
New is Old and Old is New. Feb 14th, 2010 at 7:01 PM. I've been making a few buttons for the yarn department at Cozy since last fall. Fun buttons. Buttons that have personalities, and best of all, buttons that don't match. Just because a shape looks good on paper doesn't mean it's going to wear well. Nice there are still volunteers out there to help. Seems like 2010 is going to be an interesting year. Sweet Dreams Annie Lenox. 2 comments Leave a comment. Feb 15th, 2010 03:45 am (UTC).
