5 SISTERS: Breakfast party
http://fiveglobalsisters.blogspot.com/2011/09/breakfast-party.html
3 COUNTRIES, 13 CHILDREN, COUNTLESS STORIES. Monday, 5 September 2011. My parents hosted a number of Breakfast parties when I was going up and mum would make the most delish cinnamon fritters, for the Breakfast party we hosted this morning I opted for blueberry muffins (my first attempt). Friends each brought a dish and the combination of favors was perfek! What a lovely way to start the day. 9 September 2011 at 05:34. Ok so i still want to know what the eggs are in.i cannot figure it out :-?
5 SISTERS: Birthdays from afar
http://fiveglobalsisters.blogspot.com/2011/10/birthdays-from-afar.html
3 COUNTRIES, 13 CHILDREN, COUNTLESS STORIES. Saturday, 1 October 2011. I always have mixed feelings on birthdays. In my toilet hangs a birthday calender which reminds me daily who's birthday it is. Today is Jen's birthday and yesterday was Jazmyn's(Jen's daughter.)Happy Birthday girlies :-). Old family pic.Mums 60th. I often find myself pondering about what I would do if I lived closer to the family member who's birthday it is. Would I drop by for tea? Would there be a kids party I could go and help at?
5 SISTERS: flour swap!!
http://fiveglobalsisters.blogspot.com/2011/09/flour-swap.html
3 COUNTRIES, 13 CHILDREN, COUNTLESS STORIES. Sunday, 18 September 2011. This week has been a dissaster! Knowbody has died, we havn't gone bankrupt, I didn't dye all the whites pink.but by the state of my mood one could be mistaken for thinking all these things had happened. The reason for the dissaster you ask? Tasted them later on they were like bread pudding.OH THE SHAME. It has got me to thinking. Should something this small have such a big effect on me? But hey that's years away right? Gulp, martha x.

Learning to Savour: November 2012
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 14 November 2012. An affirmation: on returning home after being away. Isn't it such a gift to go away and leave one's everyday life behind for just a little while? And then isn't it also a gift to return to it, hopefully refreshed and with perspective regained and energy renewed? Try saying this out loud, with a shifting emphasis on each word in turn, and feel what this means for you and what it releases inside you. THIS is my life. Right here, right now. It is not elsewhere. This IS my life.

Learning to Savour: A Good Question
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-good-question.html
Wednesday, 2 January 2013. Never underestimate the power of a question. Don’t dismiss it as mere herald to the all-powerful answer,. Or despise its uncertainty as feeble or unsafe. A good question is full of life. It bursts with the curiosity and promise of undiscovered worlds. Its key turns the lock of never-opened doors. So don’t let your own question spill heedlessly from your mouth. Instead, turn it,. Like a hard toffee between tongue and teeth. Savour, smooth and hone it. Changed beyond recognition,.
Learning to Savour: December 2011
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 26 December 2011. These are a few of my favourite (Christmas) things. Since I keep on humming the classic Sound of Music song to myself, I was already thinking of writing a post about some of my favourite things this Christmas, and then my daily Enneathought. Suggested that “ On Boxing Day, which can be a day of recovery from celebrations, quietly reflect on your blessings. As a Nine, consider the ways you are blessed with being optimistic, good-natured, and creative.”. Are great for this: we can...
Learning to Savour: Comforting food for a winter's day: Sausage and Bean Casserole
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2013/01/comforting-food-for-winters-day-sausage.html
Thursday, 10 January 2013. Comforting food for a winter's day: Sausage and Bean Casserole. The slow cooker is a wonderful invention! And so is the sausage. And the humble bean. Combine all these wonderful things with a few other wonderful things and you get the most perfect supper for a cold winter’s day. It’s comforting and tasty, with savoury and sweet flavours balancing each other wonderfully, and with a beautiful hint of smokiness too. Only three hours to wait! 1 sweet potato, peeled and diced. Janua...
Learning to Savour: May 2013
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, 10 May 2013. Seen through a window mist dimly. My heart is full from these rainy roofs,. From a yellow-gabled window interrupting purple slope,. Sage green next to white next to rusty red,. Cedar shingles seen through a window mist dimly;. From wooden animals carved in a far-off land. Now lined up along a window ledge,. Always travelling by standing still. Though this is just a small town on a damp day. And my coffee is bad and my toes cold,. There is some mystery here beyond the misted pane,.

Learning to Savour: January 2012
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 11 January 2012. Zero Circle by Rumi. Be helpless, dumbfounded,. Unable to say yes or no. Then a stretcher will come from grace. To gather us up. We are too dull-eyed to see that beauty. If we say we can, we’re lying. If we say No, we don’t see it,. That No will behead us. And shut tight our window onto spirit. So let us rather not be sure of anything,. Beside ourselves, and only that, so. Miraculous beings come running to help. Crazed, lying in a zero circle, mute,. We shall be saying finally,.
Learning to Savour: April 2012
http://learningtosavour.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 April 2012. Raise high the standard of spring! Hold up the budded boughs,. As you stride through greening woods,. Your skirts lifted from a gold leaf floor. See, dancing birds follow in your train,. While others circle overhead. Hear grateful brooks herald your coming. And frogs sing a chorus of praise. As you pass,. Bare branches still too proud to bow. Know that spring’s sap will soon. Force them, clothed, to their knees. So, lift high the standard! Winter, lay down your frosted arms,.

Losing someone close to you is more haunting than a life of cursed solitude.". But what of the Moon Master?
