chaos at its best: March 2010
http://fivekidschaos.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Chaos at its best. Five and a half kids one dog two cats life = chaos at its best. Sunday, March 28, 2010. When Jordan was born I was told that she would probably never understand imaginary play. In the last week she has sat in the backyard with Julia telling five year old jokes (you know the ones that only a five year old can find funny) and "roasted" marshmallows over the bonfire pit. The next drama was when she told me not to touch a pen because it was fire. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Your sink is ove...
chaos at its best: funny moments
http://fivekidschaos.blogspot.com/2010/05/funny-moments.html
Chaos at its best. Five and a half kids one dog two cats life = chaos at its best. Monday, May 17, 2010. So it's been awhile - reality set in a little too hard when we got home from FL. There are plenty of moments that should be recorded here - like the morning I woke up to find that Jordan had pillaged my pantry during the night - there was powdered sugar and rice and permanent marker EVERY WHERE! But the funny moments fortunately always seem to out weigh the challenging ones. Oh - He died". We make qui...
chaos at its best: An hour at football
http://fivekidschaos.blogspot.com/2010/07/hour-at-football.html
Chaos at its best. Five and a half kids one dog two cats life = chaos at its best. Thursday, July 22, 2010. An hour at football. JJ had receiver camp this week for an hour and half every afternoon while Jessi and Bethany were at dance camp. Today I got tired of the whole throw the three little ones in their car seats for five minutes to drop him off and decided that we would just hang out there the last hour today. To which Timothy turned to me and announced very loudly, "I talking to JJ! Timothy got fil...
chaos at its best: August 2010
http://fivekidschaos.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Chaos at its best. Five and a half kids one dog two cats life = chaos at its best. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. It's the Little Things. It is coming to the end of August and I have mixed emotions. Jordan has been out of control this week - running away worse than ever, screaming, yelling, not listening - I feel like we have regressed three years. I think she is ready to be back at school and for some normal routine. The biggest lessons Jordan has taught me is to slow down and appreciate the small things!
chaos at its best: Florida and back to reality :)
http://fivekidschaos.blogspot.com/2010/04/florida-and-back-to-reality.html
Chaos at its best. Five and a half kids one dog two cats life = chaos at its best. Friday, April 9, 2010. Florida and back to reality :). I am so grateful to my in-laws for making it happen. It was really fun to just have time with my oldest two. JJ and Bethany and I were in Vero Beach at my in-laws for about a week and the weather was perfect. We spent ages at the pool and the beach - one day Bethany was literally in the ocean for four hours straight! At least Sonny fixes my washing maching! That sounds...

WAVES & SAND: May 2012

And some days in this place can be, well, rainy. Guess that's just really stating the obvious. It is the Pacific Northwest, it's like a redundancy- Oregon and Rain. But to give it credit, OR and rain, that is, we did move here during the rainiest season. So, trial by fire.er.rain! Tessa eating rice; she couldn't stop. Moth to a flame. The toys, the rice. Being inside, I've also started to try out some recipes from pinterest. The first was this cool looking bread; crusty bread. Almost like their pic!
WAVES & SAND: Tessa is One!
http://jessandeddy.blogspot.com/2012/06/tessa-is-one.html
We can't believe that she is already one- 1 year. It seems to have gone so fast, and yet at times, so slowly. Tessa is an absolute joy- a little fire ball, full of squeals and screams, and a strong will. We are truly blessed to have the kids we have! Her birthday was actually a few days ago, but we threw her a party when more people could attend- Memorial day festivities are tough to contend with! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). WAVES & SAND: February 2012
http://jessandeddy.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
The past few years have been a roller coaster of emotions- planning our move to the Land of Sand, getting there, coming back, having a son, going back, getting visas denied, having a daughter. and then waiting. and waiting. for something. Clarity? For sure we wondered if we were supposed to push harder on some doors to get back into the country we had focused on for so long. And yet, we lacked peace. So, we looked into buying a house- and found one! We close on our house in Salem on 3/15 and we're fairly...

Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest,. Or maybe just a Soboll anomaly! Even right now, as I'm typing, thinking, processing, meditating, praying, there are distractions, pulling my focus away. For one- my adorable, not-so-little bundle of 30lb joy, Benjamin, is hanging on my legs, whining for attention, craving time with mommy. So, um, maybe these times of prayer and seeking, hearing from God what to be obedient in, can be VERY short! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

WAVES & SAND: Outside!
http://jessandeddy.blogspot.com/2012/05/outside_19.html
We love having a backyard. Seriously. I knew we were missing something in our townhome place in MN, but I didn't realize just how much we were missing- WOW. We're out there at least 3x/day. running, swinging, working in the garden, playing. It's just beyond wonderful! And while MN for sure has more playgrounds- phenomenally more- the sheer beauty of OR and it's natural environment is hard to beat. We've enjoyed spending time at parks and running around the YWAM base with the kiddos. Step by Step with God.

So Long MN. Hello OR! The drive out was. ok. Which, as those of you with toddlers can attest, is GREAT. We had a few minor freak-out times, but all in all, 4 days of 7-8 hours of driving, the kids were stellar. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Homemade Away From Home. Five Kids and Crazy Me
Five Kids and Crazy Me. A look at the life of my awesome children, myself, and our crazy adventures. Thursday, October 29, 2015. When I bake cookies, I always give my kids a pinch of brown sugar. Of course I give myself a pinch, too. Let's be honest, we could all use a little sweetness in our lives. If I'm in the kitchen working they know, and they line up for a little sugar. Now every brownie (that isn't out of a box) is sad. I wash laundry and don't fold it (but I don't think I'm alone in that one :) ).
