Notes about the things we notice. Day twenty-seven/twenty-eight: Cusco and Sacred Valley. This morning we spot children in the hotel! Actual children. Blonde haired, English speaking children the same age as ours! I’m sure my reaction was something akin to the child catcher (poor kids) as I bellowed “CHILDREN! Today we take a city tour of Cusco. Notes about the things we notice. Day eight: Santa Fe, Galápagos. Today was a truly great day. No home-school (it’s the weekend) and we took a boat trip to Santa Fe, another island about an hour away. We were promised swimming with sea lions, sharks, turtles and blue-footed boobies. The water was freezing and we hadn’t thought to organise wetsuits, but despite each snorkelling trip being short and sweet we saw them all. Watch our snorkelling highlights here. Know that yesterday, we were just one road off!

Pow. 2 A morning surprise of yellow tulips and heart shaped cookies. 3 The confident smile from a new Couloir Extreme enthusiast. 4 An industrial chain footrest. 2 A ‘. 8230;...

Notes about the things we notice. We land in Miami and immediately learn important lesson number one – to save important ‘next step’ information outside of an email and into a calendar or note that does not need wifi. Once we get over that blip and find the address and directions to our friend’s house, we’re on our way. Tired and wearing far too many clothes for Miami, we head to Coral Gables. I love our friends, especially the ones who have a spare house at the bottom of their garden! We leave Miami, ha...
