Five things that don't suck, almost every day. Thursday, June 27, 2013. The First 100 Pounds (31 - 40). The standard warnings still apply: I'm still not a medical professional, and I don't pretend that this is some sort of program. It's what I did, what I do, and what has worked for me. It doesn't even necessarily make sense. Your mileage may vary, and your doctor should have a say in the matter. What the hell do I know about this? I'm a poet, people. Get professional advice. Here are 31 – 40:. 33 I AM A...

every day, one good thing: November 2014
http://daily-good-thing.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Every day, one good thing. I had to run out to buy an additional goody to slip into a birthday package for a friend; I got up early (well, early for me on a Sunday) and made it to the store and back while most other folks were in church or bed. Then I got the package ready to ship and readied two other packages for a trip to the post office tomorrow. 11/29: before november's end. I had set the end of November as my deadline for finishing some chapbook binding, and this evening I met it. It was the last d...

On Writing and Life. And on getting my novel published. About Mary Senior Harwood. George Senior, about 21. On July 31, 2016, George A. Senior, my father, would have been 100 years old. But he died three weeks shy of his 64th birthday. I kept writing for several years, with no clue of craft or dialogue or plot. I still have those early pages banged out on an ancient typewriter. Maybe someday they will be part of something. Except, just as it did for my father, science couldn’t cure Gregory. August 4, 2016.
How Far We’ve Come | On Writing and Life

On Writing and Life. And on getting my novel published. About Mary Senior Harwood. How Far We’ve Come. I’d promised myself NOT to write anything about the candidate I will not mention, but with all the outrageous comments about women, “it’s just locker room talk,” I need to speak out. That, and a push from a recent Facebook post with the dates of significant landmarks in women’s rights within my lifetime. And any number of other goals we still have to achieve.
