fixBuffalo: Today on Jefferson Avenue
http://fixbuffalo.blogspot.com/2014/10/today-on-jefferson-avenue.html
Today on Jefferson Avenue. This demolition of Buffalo's oldest synagogue was an avoidable tragedy. The Jefferson Street Shul was structurally sound, with cosmetic repairs only needed on bricks that had become loose on the facade. It is unfortunate that officials in the Department of Permits and Inspections were not willing to consider reasonable alternatives to the destruction of this landmark of the city's Jewish history. Monday, June 11, 2007. Apparently, they hate History. Their slogan is "Where Art Lives", but we know that there must be a 'codicil' at the end that reads "And Where History Dies". Numerous citizens who live nearby have expressed their opposition to this. The art-school does not care. After all, they apparently HATE HISTORY - hence, History must be Destroyed. And this is "Art"? Rome, NY Sucks: The Last War For Late Night
http://romenysucks.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-last-war-for-late-night.html
Rome, NY Sucks. I can't believe how many people want to be Mayor of Rome in 2015. Friday, February 28, 2014. The Last War For Late Night. I find myself watching Conan O'Brien more often now and chuckling at YouTube videos of his show. I'm over Letterman due to his annoying politics and lack of innovation. Arsenio is as bad as before and less interesting. Jimmy Fallon? I think Lorne Michaels thinks anyone who did Weekend update can have a talk show. Dennis Miller did a pretty good job. Your post is spot on.

Rome, NY Sucks. I can't believe how many people want to be Mayor of Rome in 2015. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. It's 5 o'clock New Year's Day somewhere. Right now, I think that place is Dubai. Yet again, I hang on to a tradition that started with notes passed around a high school classroom and onto the electronic pages of a nearly dead blog. If I get any followers, maybe I'll take the show to my Twitter page. Until then, I have some. Just to mess with everyone, Tea Party candidates start running as Democra...

Knowing what it was just twenty years ago, the amount of development along this corridor is really quite staggering. Cornerstone Credit Union - Town of Lockport. Buffalo Architectur...

Even America's most depressed downtowns are showing vigorous signs of life. It's a surprising development no one predicted in the bleak years of the 1970's and 80's when many so-called experts dismissed the idea of downtown revitalization as wishful thinking in the age of surburbanization.
