Monday, 27 October 2008. The ignorance of obese youth. Why do they not teach them respect for animals? It was really worrying that the parents didn't try to stop them behaving like that. It wasn't just frightening for the dogs, it was fucking rude! My well-behaved, friendly dogs don't ever bark when they are out in public, but I wished on this occasion that they had, because when they do they could half pass for vicious, and these nasty children deserved to have the shit scared out of them.

I read yesterday about the Astoria closing and felt a bit sad as I had some lovely times there during my formative underage drinking years but I didn't realise Metros is closing too.
