Sunday, July 31, 2011. This part was very difficult since everything is rounded and it is very tough to take measurements. The gutters did not match so I had to take the entire gutter from the new part but take part of the old inner fender. I could only cut once, so I spent a lot of time of matching and checking, etc. The angle of the new part did not match the angle on the car ( Longeron. I've used this tool to help me. The car is ready to receive the new part. Checking how the trunk would fit later.

Thursday, September 1, 2011. I have started to glue the trunk line in place. After lunch I've noticed that the glue/fumes had seeped through the felt onto the vinyl. I was hoping that after the glue had dried the vinyl will shrink to its original shape, which happened as the following pictures will show. I've change my strategy and used contact glue on the body and 3M 90 spray on glue on the vinyl. Worked perfectly as you can see on the upper part:. A little polishing on the Seima. Sunday, November 27, 2011. Last work before she's gone. The car is sold and she is going to San Francisco. I have to do some work for the new owner before shipping it. I continue this blog to keep him posted about the work being done. I was testing all the buttons and found out that the blower was not working anymore. I've removed the fender and opened the housing. Looks like I had a tenant for a while. I've tested the motor and lubed it. It is working perfectly. Clean, back together and working.

Friday, March 11, 2011. My car has a 3 light option (reverse lights). I had used 2 light plates on the shelf. I just had to use a conduit cutter to turn a 2 light plate into a 3 light plate. After straighting the parts, sand blasting, zinc plating the brackets and painting. I found a used bumper but it needed some work. After straightening, and sanding.

Thursday, December 8, 2011. I have drained and flushed the radiator/engine. I've added a gallon of pure coolant since the engine had clear water in it. The protection is -45F; the ratio is probably 60/40 which raises the boiling point also. The new owner can keep an eye on the spare tire to see if it holds the pressure. The new starter showed up.
