http://nbautumnmyst.blogspot.com/2015/05/camera-shy-dog-and-last-locks-sunday.html
Sunday, 24 May 2015. Camera Shy Dog and Last Locks - Sunday 24th May. Ecco made a friend of the 5 yr. old spaniel on the next boat called Buttons but he was a little camera shy or perhaps besotted with her. Spotted, the 35 ft long Tug Beeston, which is a replica of a tug built by Yarwoods of Northwich in the 1930`s. It was built by David Harris. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Autumn Myst: Visitors and Home work–Tuesday 19th May
http://nbautumnmyst.blogspot.com/2015/05/visitors-and-home-worktuesday-19th-may.html
Wednesday, 20 May 2015. Visitors and Home work–Tuesday 19th May. As we had the car we went home and mowed the lawns and checked all the post. We left Ecco safely at home whilst we went and did a supermarket shop and then returned to the boat for a visit from our Guide Dog Supervisor. Later Nick, Gaynor, John and Liz joined us for the evening and a glass of wine. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The engine, the calorifier and the gps. Narrowboat Armadillo: April 2015
http://nbarmadillo.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The peregrinations, both geographical and mental, of Graham and Jill on narrowboat Armadillo. It being a hodge-podge or gallimaufrey of travels, thoughts and frequently inaccurate facts. Thursday, 30 April 2015. Loose fillings and leaky locks. This is the top end of Swanley No.2 lock. The sign that had decorated the gate beam claiming that the cill would be repaired "Next Week" has gone but nothing done so far and their is obviously a large void behind the lock wall. Not a good sign. Our last view of Gri...

Narrowboat Blackstone: November 2011
http://nb-blackstone.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The ramblings of Narowboat Blackstone and it's crew. Sunday, 6 November 2011. Hooray, we are back on board Blackstone. We have not cruised for over a year due to personal circumstances and a partial refit of the boat. Everything is now sorted out and we are able to use Blackstone again. This weekend we had a short cruise to Dunham and back. We saw several bonfires along the way. The one at Ye Olde Number 3 is huge. Unfortunately we could not see their firework display from our mooring. Carl got up at 6:4...

Narrowboat Blackstone: April 2010
http://nb-blackstone.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The ramblings of Narowboat Blackstone and it's crew. Thursday, 1 April 2010. The saloon all stripped out ready for the stretch, just the floor to take up. Out of the water, into the workshop. Windows out, ready for the cut. The inside sealed up to keep the rest of the inside clean. Strengthening bars in place so that the boat doesn't warp when it is cut. First cut, through the roof. And then the sides. Very neat cuts. Staggered to add strength. Almost 3 metres longer! The base plate and one side in place.

Narrowboat Blackstone: October 2009
http://nb-blackstone.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
The ramblings of Narowboat Blackstone and it's crew. Saturday, 17 October 2009. Blackstone is getting longer! Oops, I forgot to post this one! Thursday 1 October 2009. Preston Brook to Bramble Cutting. We are having an extra ten feet put in just past the galley. This will give us room to have a dining area and extend the saloon a bit. Carl has spent time stripping out the interior woodwork from the saloon area as the more we do, the less it will cost! We haven't yet finalised the plans for the refit as i...

Narrowboat Blackstone: Made me giggle
http://nb-blackstone.blogspot.com/2012/03/made-me-giggle.html
The ramblings of Narowboat Blackstone and it's crew. Wednesday, 28 March 2012. I have been dipping into some old posts on the blogs that I follow and I found the following entry about the Bridgewater Canal:-. I don't know what it is about this particular canal but none of the boats with Bridgewater registrations slow down; maybe they think that because the canal is owned by Peel Holdings British waterways rules don't apply? Narrowboat Blackstone: Licence time again and praise for BW licence team.
http://nb-blackstone.blogspot.com/2011/12/licence-time-again-and-praise-for-bw.html
The ramblings of Narowboat Blackstone and it's crew. Friday, 23 December 2011. Licence time again and praise for BW licence team. We could just get short term licences from BW whenever we want to cruise their waters, but in the past we have found that they worked out more expensive. Plus you have got to remember to buy them in advance. It is more convenient to have a full yearly licence – we don’t have to plan in advance. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
