Cassidy's Quest: Tighten(ed) Up
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2015/04/tightened-up.html
Sunday, April 26, 2015. Hi everyone. I want to say thank you to everyone checking in the past few weeks. It means a lot. It's been a long, mentally tiring stretch. My therapist helped quite a bit at our session last week. As she always does, she is able to help me look at the big picture. Quite honestly, she took me by surprise. I had assumed she would agree with my decision to move on. But she did not. I know why this hurt you so deeply, and why you feel such terrible sadness," she said. I had electroly...

Cassidy's Quest: How To Fight Loneliness
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2015/04/how-to-fight-loneliness.html
How To Fight Loneliness. Thursday, April 16, 2015. A huge part of my transition has been learning to let myself truly feel for the first time in my life. After spending a lifetime holding in my emotions (for a variety of reasons, not all trans-related), allowing myself to be vulnerable has been a challenge. But I will say this: letting others get close to the real me has been a painful experience. I have opened my heart completely. And I have been hurt. Almost unbearably so. I've been in therapy for 17 y...

Cassidy's Quest: August 2014
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2014. I am happy to report that your humble blogstress is writing this on the very first evening of her vacation - yea! My plan is to do some serious writing next week while I am off; we shall see how that goes. :c). In the meantime, though, I thought I would do a catch-up post about my recent radio miss-adventure, since it was, you know, nearly two weeks ago at this point. It even resulted in some good news - and totally unexpected good news at that! Friday, August 15, 2014. So expect...

Cassidy's Quest: One Year/Year One
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2012/04/one-yearyear-one.html
Saturday, April 28, 2012. My life started one year ago today. That was the day I called M. My therapist, and said out loud what I've always known:. I'm a girl. And I want to transition. And a year later, I'm on my way. It simultaneously feels like it happened both moments ago and a lifetime ago. I guess both are true, depending on how you look at it. It's been a tumultuous year, even without such a life-altering decision overshadowing everything else. So… what do you say? Same place, one year from today?

Cassidy's Quest: March 2015
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 27, 2015. So this post has absolutely nothing. To do with being trans. At all But I was telling someone this story earlier this evening and she told me I *had* to post it. (You know who you are. :D). Its a tale of lasting friendships, cheap (in every sense of the word) beer, a cult film, and one mother who is pushed just a bit too far. If this sounds to you like a tale worth hearing. read on. :). Vignettes: Wearin' O' The Green. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. But not this day. It's St. Patric...

Cassidy's Quest: November 2014
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
HRT: Year 3 (a/k/a Mammaries Can't Wait). Sunday, November 23, 2014. Yup, another year gone by! Hard to believe - that I keep thinking up stupid boob-related puns, that is. :). Kidding aside, this video is about the changes I've seen the past three years - in particular the last three-four weeks. It's pretty remarkable. Hope you agree. :). The Talking Heads song I've forever besmirched with my dumb pun, originally recorded for their classic 1979 album Fear of Music. The Video Onslaught Continues. Lol) un...

Cassidy's Quest: One, Two, Three, Four...
http://cassidysquest.blogspot.com/2015/04/one-two-three-four.html
One, Two, Three, Four. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Amazingly enough, my journey began four years ago today. That was the day I finally admitted the truth to myself: I was a girl, and I had to transition. It hardly seems possible that it's been four years, a sentiment I felt each of the previous. More on the flip slide, including some photos of me along the way from then to now. :c). I'm not through yet; not by a long shot. I finally took steps to become the woman I should have been all along. I worked, and ...
