Helaas is de toegankelijk van de accu op het nieuwe model er niet op vooruit gegaan. In plaats van één kap boven de accu moet je nu ook het hele paneel om de tellerunit verwijderen om bij de accu te komen. Zoals elders beschreven eerst de procedure volgen om de hele boel los te halen:. Stap 3: de kap voorzichtig loswrikken.

Voordat ik op mijn 2008 de venture shield folie plakte was met name de onderzijde van de kuip, achter het voorwiel behoorlijk gehavend door opspattend zand en grind. Op mijn vorige FJR had ik al een setje reflecterende wheelstriping aangebracht, met name voor de zichtbaarheid van opzij in de avonduren. Hoewel het aanbrengen van de stickers de eerste keer best een prutswerkje bleek heb ik ze ook weer op mijn zwarte 2013 geplakt. Mijn beschrijving van de installatie vind je hier.

Met de overstap naar de RP23 heb ik mijn stuurverhogers niet meer geïnstalleerd. Deels omdat ik de indruk had dat de zit van de RP23 net beter is en deels omdat de cruise controle me het vertrouwen gaf dat ik het dove gevoel in mijn hand niet meer zou gaan krijgen.
