The FLAG Foundation was established in 1992 when a group of employees from Lakeland Tours, a student travel company, recognized that student travel has a profound impact on the lives of students. The FLAG Foundation was borne of the desire to provide opportunities for every student to participate in a life-changing travel experience. FLAG provides more than $1 million per year in financial assistance to qualifying families with an adjusted gross income up to $85,000.

What does my donation pay for? Your donation covers approximately 100% of the giving expenses of the Foundation. All of our funds must be raised from the Annual Fund, endowment returns, and other external sources of revenue. Why does FLAG need support from donors? What's the point of giving if I can only contribute $5 or $10? Are donations to the FLAG Foundation tax-deductible? FLAG relies almost entirely on the generosity of the educational and business community parents, trustees, alumni, and friends.

The FLAG Foundation is funding scholarships and grants through a combination of private and public commitments for the following needs:. Endowment for student financial assistance.
