Monday, January 11, 2010. Big Freeze in South. Southern states do experience cold at times, but "freeze" continues and destroying crops! School children in Tampa not used to wearing heavy winter clothing, and most don't have any! Folks can "layer", but heavier clothes needed. Again, as we keep saying, is this Global warming? It's "change" and last yr S. wasn't too warm. With fuel costs rising, add that to higher prices for fresh veggies, fruit, peanut products, cotton goods? We watch EMS to not go over 2...

Monday, January 4, 2010. Weather here at Unadilla is cold - 20's during night. Daytime highs in 40's. So this is Global warming? Locals" say cold weather unusual, plus last year brought heavy, heavy rains! Hope weather improves, and they say it will - after we leave Fri. Just our luck! We use 2 small heaters in Motorhome at night and use very little propane as we have 50 amps! Enjoy watching full moon and it was Blue Moon New Year's eve. Skies clear, bright stars, and hopefully rain has ended!

Friday, January 15, 2010. Maybe long "freeze" in S. is over? We are still parked at Brandon Elk's Lodge and did get to move from 20 to 30 amp site! Not sure when H last serviced hot water tank, but water poured out of it. Luckily there is a guy parked here who services rv's. He obtained needed valve and cleaned up the area. It works now on electric and haven't tried it on LP as that was used up Weds. evening. Now we can use small heater and hot water tank is turned off when not used. RV Hot Water Heater.

Sunday, January 3, 2010. Time goes fast. Plan to leave Unadilla, GA., Fri. am Kathy drags feet, but we always make it - although it may be noon! Lots to do. Will be on the road for 3 mos., and need to clean MH and store "stuff" we don't need. That is a problem at times. There is much discussion re what stays and what goes :) :). Friends are asking when we will be in their area. Here is Flakey's sched. for first 3 mos of 2010. FMCA 's 83rd International Conventionm, Albuquerque, NM, 3/22-25, 2010.
