Humanism, atheism and other freedoms. Looking forward to Xmas. It’s time to get back to the real meaning of Xmas, which is about the passing of the winter solstice and the rebirth of the year. We all know how commercial Xmas has become, and how we have lost sight of its true meaning. Yet, over the past few years, I have rediscovered my enjoyment of this festival. And that’s partly to do with living in the countryside. What does Xmas mean to you? Not pretty, is it? Living in the depths of the countryside,...

Humanism, atheism and other freedoms. Religion’s intrinsic extremism. A friend recently posted the following to Facebook: While trite, this picture’s message is at least true only not in the way its creator intended. Because the fact is, the Ku Klux Klan does represent Christianity in the same way that jihadists and terrorists and oppressive regimes such as that of Saudi Arabia do […]. Looking forward to Xmas. The weird things people believe. Christians just want to be victims. God bless British apathy.

Humanism, atheism and other freedoms. The Pope’s parallel universe. Which planet is the Pope on? His speeches during his tour of the UK show a weird disconnection from reality and a rabid fear of secularism. Which planet is Pope Benedict XVI on? The Roman Rottweiler’s speeches during his tour of the UK show a weird disconnection from reality and a rabid fear of secularism. Loving Allah, and Facebook Security. Why is that funny? | FreeInfidel

Humanism, atheism and other freedoms. Loving Allah, and Facebook Security. Why is that funny? I LOVE ALLAH – Many who like Facebook Security like this. Why is that funny? Spotted this today in the right-hand panel of Facebook (which I normally ignore). I’m not sure why Facebook is recommending the page ‘I LOVE ALLAH’ (note the uppercase shouting). I’m even less sure why I was quite so amused by the comment ‘Many who like Facebook Security like this’. 8217; in close proximity should be sinister, no? Cyber...

It was a leatherbound copy of "ciske de Rat" from 1951. I think i paid a whole euro for it. or one fifty or some stupid amount like that. How the bunny lost it. May 7th, 2008. I can't imagine that i have been a girl with her own chaos realm. An episode of Oprah from yesterday and last week got me thinking of some stuff in the past. I used to be so incredibly messy. and a "hoarder" as they called it there, that i had stuff all over my house. It makes me feel at home. It makes me feel calm. There are still things i need to sort out and throw away, but it's not that much anymore. Sorting helps. My house smells of artificial lavender. And oh&#...
