Add warm water little by little, and knead the dough till it is smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise for an hour or two. When the dough has doubled, punch it in and knead it again. Blend the apples and yogurt till smooth. In a large bowl, whisk sugar and softened butter together. Add the egg, vanilla and cardamom, and beat till smooth. Pour in the blended apples and yogurt, and mix gently. Grease and flour the bread tin(s), and turn the oven on (i.e. 'preheat', though I hate that word and dispute its legitimacy).
