The Cake Is A Lie. I made my brother's birthday cake today (took me only five hours *die*) and I have. This was a triumph! I'm making a note here, HUGE SUCCESS! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction with how this cake turned out. Anyway, it was great: so delicious and moist! This was the recipe I used:. One 18.25 ounce package chocolate cake mix. One can prepared coconut pecan frosting. 3/4 cup vegetable oil. One cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 3/4 cup butter or margarine. 1 and 2/3 cups granulated sugar.
