It is growing, and yet there is sickness beneath the surface. But sickness will be dealt with. It is my duty and my cause. Not as fascinating would be the criminal who attempted to take my wallet today. I am blind. Unfortunately for them, I am neither stupid nor uncoordinated. While I hope they eventually heal from the wounds that may have occurred, I equally hope they learned from this experience.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016. It's a Friday night and I'm sitting in the grass watching my youngest play on the play ground. There's several families here and a few single parents and I enjoy just watching them interact. I think of each of them everyday, and struggle like all mothers with teaching them to be independent humans and keeping them safe. I speak to parents who have older children and am told it's never anything you stop doing. This both terrifies me and fills my heart. Sunday, November 1, 2015.
