December 12th, 2012:. We spent a lot of time researching what kind of stuff to do in Ireland. At this point I think we knew how schedule things effectively on our trips and get the most out of it. So worth it. We got to use immediately for a free bus ride into the town. Once we arrived in town we walked to our hote...

https://fledgelingx.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/europe-paris-getting-there
Europe – Paris: Getting There. For the past few months I’ve really been reflecting on my time spent in Europe. I decided that I really want to write about these experiences so that later on I can look back and remember every detail. Every Thursday for the foreseeable future (i.e. until I run out of travel stories) I’m going to write about my travels, aka “Travel Thursday”.🙂. These posts are also going to be pretty image heavy! I hope you enjoy the first Travel Thursday! August 27th, 2012:. On our way to...

Travel Thursday | Fledgeling
https://fledgelingx.wordpress.com/travel-thursday
Travel Thursday is a collection of stories about the amazing adventures I had when I left Canada and moved across the pond. Traveling through Europe gave me a taste for adventure and for different cultures. I had an amazing time exploring new countries. Coming back home was bitter sweet. I was happy to be home but missing the adventure we had in Europe. The bad, has really allowed me to reflect on the experiences and develop a deeper appreciation of what an amazing opportunity I had. I wanted to writ...

Shan On the Run: SRS Trainee Symposium – Sunday Recap
http://shanontherun.blogspot.com/2013/06/srs-trainee-symposium-sunday-recap.html
Shan On the Run. Monday, June 3, 2013. SRS Trainee Symposium – Sunday Recap. Oh and they also had grits, which I guess is like porridge but made with corn? I had her put some on my plate and I tried it but it was a little weird. She said most people put cream, sugar, salt and pepper on it. Seemed too complicated for me so I just stuck with the eggs and hash browns! There was another HUGE rush of people Sunday night since there must have been another Orioles baseball game (so much orange everywhere! I wan...
Shan On the Run: Hello, Baltimore
http://shanontherun.blogspot.com/2013/06/hello-baltimore.html
Shan On the Run. Saturday, June 1, 2013. Made it without a hitch to the Mount Vernon Hotel, the shuttle ride was very efficient! So I ended up relaxing at the hotel for a bit (I was super tired earlier but fell asleep on the plane from Philadelphia to Baltimore right when I got on and woke up just before landing so that was a nice nap) but I still needed a little break. I didn't really have enough time anyways to do some exploring since the plane was delayed and it was just too hot anyways. On May 19th, ...
Shan On the Run: LIVE from Philadelphia International Airport
http://shanontherun.blogspot.com/2013/06/live-from-philadelphia-international.html
Shan On the Run. Saturday, June 1, 2013. LIVE from Philadelphia International Airport. On a different note, the Philadelphia airport is huge! I got off my flight from Halifax at Terminal B which was incredible. Not only did it have the usual coffee and food paces, but it was practically an entire mall with the Body Shop, a Pinkberry (one of my fav things about visiting the states! Brooks Brothers and tons more! It was probably even bigger than the mall back home in Bridgewater. Saturday, June 01, 2013.

Shan On the Run: April 2013
http://shanontherun.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Shan On the Run. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Today's run – 3.9 miles/45:02 mins. I really wanted to go farther/faster but my legs were just so stiff today. I was disappointed because I haven't really been "going the distance" lately. Oh well, making it to the gym for a run in itself is good in my books! I'm going to do anther one tomorrow so hopefully it will be better. Not the best green tea, but satisfying none the less}. Gotta love snack packs! I also got to use my new Nike gym bag from Sport Chek! I sta...

Shan On the Run. Friday, June 7, 2013. SLEEP 2013 Meeting, Baltimore – Day 2 (Tuesday). I was up early again today since we needed to be down to the convention centre by 8am. Had a good breakfast at the cafe in the hotel and the walk downtown was beautiful! Very grateful the sun was out this morning! This is the view from a hallway in the convention center where you can see the other side. There were lots of outdoors tables (which you can kind of see here) that was great}. In the afternoon I attended a s...

The future looks like shit.
The future looks like shit. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Baseball been berry berry good to me. I'm too fucking dumb to write. Can't think of words, form anything but the simplest sentences. Obviously I need to read more. Internet and shitty free newspapers don't count. My 25th high school reunion splats on my life like wet shit on a sidewalk (see? Feels like it. Fuck it, I'm ok with that. Fuck them anyway. No, fuck that. Because, fuck you. Sunday, May 10, 2015. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Here, brush up on this.

I’ve been out of the loop for a while again. Lots of busy work with school between attending classes, teaching a class, marking assignments, doing projects, and working on research. On top of that, we’ve finally started wedding planning! I’m not sure what happened but somehow we’ve gone through the stage of thinking about a wedding to actually planning one. :). It only took us about six months. ;). I’ve spent a lot of time checking out different caterers in the HRM and they seem like they have one ...
