The knitter rides her bike. July 28, 2012 by titianknitter. Would the light be better outside? Or course. But it’s too @# $%! Hot outside to model Shetland wool. I spent 18 months working on this sweater, and you would know, I finished it right as we hit our usual 100 summer weather. Oh well. December will get here eventually. In the meantime, enjoy some indoor. This pattern is called “Eala Bhan” and was published in the reprint of Alice Starmore’s Aran Knitting. I used the suggested yarn, Hebridean 2 Ply.

woolly ninja: Long time no post

Sunday, 27 March 2011. Long time no post. Just because I haven't posted doesn't mean I have been sitting on my hands. I finally finished spinning this handspun for a sweater, I've been plotting what the sweater/cardi should look like and have cast on. The fibre is from. And is a glorious mishmash of fibres (merino, silk, camel, angelina) and colours (blue, silver, azure, purple), the overall effect is a heathery silver blue with subtle sparkle and tweedy highlights. 27 March 2011 at 21:07.

I Knit, Therefore I Blog. Kathy Kathy Kathy's recombobulation area. Saturday, June 15, 2013. I finally published the drop stitch scarf/shawl pattern that I've been designing off and on for at least a couple of years. It turned out really well, even better than I had hoped, actually. It's fun to knit, it's not complicated, it can use just about any yarn or needle, it makes a nice scarf or a nice stole. It can be sophisticated or rustic, blocked or free-form. 65279;. It's a good summer project.

Less blogging is more knitting. Tuesday, May 04, 2010. Who should I vote for? I could vote for the Labor Party - they have a good chance to carry on destroying the economy and making the pound weaker and weaker. As the work I do might involve getting paid in euros - all in all it might not be a bad thing. Or I could vote BNP - it might be my only chance somebody will get me out of here. Just joking. Sort of. How many other millions of people are doing the same kind of thinking? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I Knit, Therefore I Blog: Sock Rehemming
http://iknitthereforeiblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/sock-rehemming.html
I Knit, Therefore I Blog. Kathy Kathy Kathy's recombobulation area. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. One of the first real pairs of socks I ever made was a pair out of Collinette Jitterbug. The yarn cost $21.00, which was a huge. The old bind off has been partially removed. I found some of the leftovers of the original yarn and rebound them. The hardest part was unraveling / unthatching / picking out the old bind off. It took almost an hour for both socks. Close Up of the New Bind-Off. 65279;. Ive done that :).
