Our Adventures in China. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. If there is something wrong, usually a temporarily fix will do. There is a tunnel near our house. Every day hundreds of cars drive through it. This is the third winter we have been here, each year the same problem occurs. I am convinced that they will not properly fix this tunnel from leaking. Why? Our Adventures in China. Thursday, November 10, 2011. We have about a month until we move back to the US. Reflecting on the last three years, it is amazing to see how much about our neighborhood has changed. Many friends have come and gone, left me with memories of a lifetime. I think hundreds of people moved from one city in the US to this city in China. The kid's school grew from one class per grade, about 8-12 kids per grade to two classes per grade 30-35 this fall. Gaelic football is played mainly in Ireland, but I happened to meet a great group of Irish guys who are teaching me how to play while we all live in China. Our Adventures in China. Saturday, December 24, 2011. These are my thoughts while in the air.flying from China to America. It is an. 11 hour plane ride, therefore, plenty of time! I am happy to move back home, but sad to leave this temporary home that really became home. I wouldn't want to stay longer, but I am glad we extended our assignment (our plan was to move last June, but we stayed another six months). I feel the length of our stay (three years) was just right for our family. 4 learn a new hobby.

Last day in Nihon up early soaking it all in. Okaasan just left for work (she’s very busy today! And I’m up waiting around for my other host brother to leave so I can say my final goodbyes (he’s going on a day trip to Kamakura (done that! I’ll be taking the Narita Express. From Shinjuku directly to the airport and I’ll be leaving tonight around 7 PM and arriving in Canada today at 11:45 am, half a day before I technically left 😀. I’ve never really had to deal with jet lag, so we’ll see how this goes.

Friday, August 14, 2009. We're Going to Disneyland! We are officially back and that means all the laundry is put away and the car is clean. We had an amazing family vacation driving to San Diego, the American Girl Store in the Grove, and Disneyland. My parents met us in Disneyland and then flew home.
