http://fletchersitalianadventure.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
The joys (and a few frustrations) in moving to Italy. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Two posts in a week? We're not really that interesting. Just a fluke. On Father's Day we went with friends to Castle Moela. A town above Taormina. Is a world-renowned tourist spot with beautiful beaches, an ancient Greek/Roman amphitheater. And, of course, lots of shopping; art, antiques, clothes (expensive but beautiful), souvenirs, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Page in a few days. This final photo is of a small pia...

The joys (and a few frustrations) in moving to Italy. Saturday, April 25, 2009. Going back to Sicily. In two weeks we'll be on planes headed for Sicily. Bob is a little worried because, as we got our tickets in two different ways, we will not be traveling together. He is concerned that I will not feel well and he won't be there to take care of me. He's been so great during this whole situation that he'll worry until he sees me safe in Sicily. Posted by Bob and Marianne at 1:09 AM. Yeah for you again!

For last Saturday evening we invited Giusseppi and Mimma for a pizza dinner at Donna Fortunata (restaurant in town, i.e. Motta) and since then we've spent much time with their friends and family. The pizza at DF is typically Sicilian (would we expect anything else? Bob and I brought the dessert and it was wildly popular. The Sicilians don't have anything like. We went to the...

The joys (and a few frustrations) in moving to Italy. Thursday, December 25, 2008. What a wonderful season. Here's wishing you a happy Christmas season with all the blessings Christ bestows. Disclaimer: This is the viewpoint of us as we spend our third Christmas season in Sicily, not as tourism advocates. On Sunday we went to...
