The MBA Applicationist: Ding at Stanford
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012/03/ding-at-stanford.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Thursday, March 29, 2012. Yesterday I got the most expected news imaginable - a Stanford rejection. Given that I never got an interview, it was the least disappointing rejection (of any kind) that I've ever gotten in my life. I'll let you know how this goes. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Posted by The Applicationist. April 13, 2012 at 2:14 PM. Congratulation for Clear-admit BOB Nomination! April 20, 2012 at 3:42 AM.

The MBA Applicationist: In at Chicago Booth!
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012/05/in-at-chicago-booth.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. In at Chicago Booth! Guess all of the speculation about Booth being oversubscribed was wrong! Between 5-10 people from the GMAT Club Forum were accepted from the WL today, so I figure they are still trying to shape a substantial portion of their class. Posted by The Applicationist. May 16, 2012 at 10:19 AM. Hopefully Booth takes me off the WL, and then we can be classmates! You left the above quot...

The MBA Applicationist: November 2011
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Sunday, November 13, 2011. I just submitted my application for Columbia Business School, regular decision. I feel like a huge weight has come off my shoulders, but now begins the waiting game. My application won't be reviewed until December at the very earliest, so we'll see how that goes. Now on to Chicago, Wharton, Stanford, and Harvard. Posted by The Applicationist. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The MBA Applicationist: January 2012
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Earlier in this blog I promised to give a recap of the questions I was asked in my Columbia interview. Overall, I thought it was a very pleasant experience, though it was pretty quick (we scheduled 45 minutes but it only lasted about 25). I guess I must have still left a good impression and/or the interview didn't make a difference, because I got the acceptance call a couple weeks later. What k...

The MBA Applicationist: Waitlisted at Chicago
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012/03/waitlisted-at-chicago.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Thursday, March 22, 2012. I'm hearing that Booth tends to pull a lot of people from their waitlist over the summer, but honestly I'm not sure I can wait that long. I don't want to spend too much thinking about it or I know it'll consume my day-to-day life. Posted by The Applicationist. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just a twenty-something applying to some MBA programs, and seeing where the chips fall. Hey, Hey, MBA.

The MBA Journey: The G-Day
http://thembaodyssey.blogspot.com/2011/08/g-day.html
Friday, August 26, 2011. Moderate preparation levels; moderate practice levels - and here I am giving a debrief of GMAT #1. I booked my exam for August 23, 2011, giving a complete 3 months for preparation. And I felt confident about my plan in mind. Until the big health blow and project deadlines in office broke my regular study hours. To see my progress levels, you can take a look at this blog. Math seemed good initially, but slowly the tiredness started creeping in. Towards the middle of the Math s...

The MBA Applicationist: Quick interview recaps
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012/03/quick-interview-recaps.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Saturday, March 3, 2012. So I had my interview with Chicago a couple of weeks ago and my interview with Wharton last week. I would say they both went okay. I don't think I left a lasting impression or anything, but I also don't think I screwed up in any fundamental way. I want to get into a more detailed debrief after my decisions to both of these two places come out later this month. Also still holding my breath for a ...

The MBA Applicationist: May 2012
http://theapplicationist.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The trials and tribulations of a born-again city slicker applying to business school. Friday, May 25, 2012. The epic battle: Chicago vs. Columbia. I feel lucky, honored, somewhat overwhelmed by the chance to choose from two of the best business schools in the country (and dare I say, the world? I want to spend this post going over all of the musings I've had over where to go to business school. Employer placement - 35%. Columbia: 7/10; Booth: 8/10. Columbia: 9/10; Booth: 6/10. Columbia: 7/10; Booth: 9/10.
