The Creative Accountant: April 2012

Monday, April 30, 2012. Something Sweet for Something Sweet. Another 3D creation from the Silhouette Studio store! This one's a 3D candy box. After the initial assembly (again, there are online instructions), I added a little this and that to make it special. On the lid, I added a window, and the top of the window is open so the message can slide out. Like "hands off! If I don't want to share, lol! I cut an opening in black cardstock with a Spellbinders die and surrounded it with bling. I've been loving...

Shadowplay studio
http://theydesign.blogspot.com/2010/02/shadowplay-studio.html
Some of the best title credits we've been able to watch in the last few years have been created by Shadowplay studio. An LA based studio whose projects span from title credits to video game cinematics, advertising and other kinds of motion graphics. One of their best skills is mixing video or photographic imagery with drawings and doodles. Worth a look. Here are a few examples:. Thank you for smoking. And their latest work: Up in the air. Florian Hardwig and Malte Kaune
http://theydesign.blogspot.com/2009/05/florian-hardwig-and-malte-kaune.html
Florian Hardwig and Malte Kaune. Some days ago Florian Hardwig helped me out with a typographic issue on typophile. As I was finding the way to contact him I came across his (and Malte Kaune's) gorgeous portfolio and I have to say that it was quite a surprise. The use of typography is one of the best I've seen lately as well as the handling of colour and composition. Here are a few examples but you should see all the work in context right here. Rhiannon Pittman: May 2010

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Using a little bit of Buchanan! This last project I was required to use the style of a local mixed media artist, Luke Miller Buchanan. In this piece I took photographs of things around the front of Peace College's campus. I cut, and distorted the images in a way that it would make the scene have visual hic-ups. I then painted these images together into one piece. My version of David Hockney's style. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Nothin but Graphic Design :).

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. My version of David Hockney's style. For this project I was required to choose a painter and research his/her composition and style. The painter I chose was David Hockney. It was difficult to chose a style from Hockney because he had so many to choose from! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Using a little bit of Buchanan!
