http://amanhattanmomma.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Family memories and other random stuff. Wednesday, May 2, 2012. 10 things I will miss about NYC. As most of you know by now, the Probsts are moving to Atlanta! I am very excited about this and a bit overwhelmed at the same time. It has been 15 years since I lived in Georgia, close to family, so it will be a big change. Moving back to Georgia will be like getting to know an old friend all over again. 8 Walking everywhere - while sometimes this is a hassle and inconvenience, I really do love the 'on the mo...

It did hit NYC, enough to make us stay inside pretty much all weekend, but fortunately, not badly enough to do as much damage (in NYC) as they were projecting. Because we were inside all weekend. I had a productive weekend in the area of sewing. :). You all may remember this post. Front of train caddy. The Story Of Our Fam...

http://amanhattanmomma.blogspot.com/2013/01/bob.html
Family memories and other random stuff. Thursday, January 31, 2013. If you know me, you know that I. So, I looked it up when I got home and BOB does not stand for 'Baby on Board'. It stands for 'Beast of Burden'. well, of course, why didn't I think of that? Anyways, I have no idea why that is what it stands for, the website didn't really explain, but that's what it stands for. I think I will continue to assume it stands for 'Baby on Board'. :). This is on a trail run in Maine on our vacation in Fall 2009.

Family memories and other random stuff. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Its not every day that you get to meet someone that has lived 100 years. In my current profession, I have met 1 or 2, but none that have left such an impression on me as Walter Scolney. I was privileged to provide in home primary care for Walter during the past 3 years. He was my favorite patient. I know that I'm not supposed to have favorites, but there's no denying it - he was my favorite. At his funeral, his grandson told a story about h...

A Marietta Mama: August 2012
http://amanhattanmomma.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Family memories and other random stuff. Friday, August 24, 2012. Her death has had me thinking a lot about how short life really is; it just goes by so quickly. I hope that this realization can effect me positively. I hope that I can put into practice what I have learned from my Grandmother's life. She was a sweet, silly, love-filled person. At her funeral, I had the privilege of reading the following poem that I wrote. A Grandmother's love cannot be explained. It cannot be mistaken, forgotten, or tamed.
